The Merits of Poker Tracker Is PT a help or does it cripple you in a subtle way? For those of you who have it, could you go back and play winning poker without it? What about live play, do you think it hurts you when you play live? How many of the pros use it? Can an online players be sucessful without it? Players here swear by their PT saying it's great. Can someone back it up and show that since they got it their ROI has increased X amount. And that they can relate it back to it. I'm interested in what players have to say about it.

Pokertracker (alongside pahud) isn't just a way to play poker without having to get your own reads, it's a way of analyzing yours and others' play by looking through specific stats and hands. I haven't got anything really tracked from before I started using it but I can say that I've made most of my profits while using it. I can also play live fine (the slower pace lets me get all the reads I need).

For what it's worth PT doesn't work for bodog tournaments, but not having it hasn't seemed to hurt my game there.
