Merge Tournament Series "Poker Maximus" I see a Carbon rep has announced merge will be having their own tournament series similar to we're used to on the bigger sites. March 4-25th, 70 events ranging from $3-215 buyins with one $500 event. There will be a player of the series award (top three in the standings get paid), accolades for event winners and a "Tournament of Champions" for them as well. Exact schedule has yet to be announced (supposedly later this month + satellites to start running then), but there will be some increases to guarantees - the $109 main event will have 50k to the winner. Updated with schedule - http://www.thepokermaximus.com/poker-tournaments.html Last edited by D'wilius : 24th January 2012 at 3:47 PM.

Tournaments are now registering. Apparently a few turbos were changed to normal speed (#8,9,10) Turbo DS give you more chips [5000] but raise the starting blinds (20/40) . The 'depth' is from the smaller blind jumps in the early stages compared to normal turbos (80/160 ante 15 at level 6) - 5 minute levels. Last edited by D'wilius : 8th February 2012 at 4:06 PM.

Merge Poker Maximus Schedule Finally found the schedule for these tournaments. Excited that I can use my tickets for these. http://thepokermaximus.com/poker-tournaments.html Noticed that late registration times vary from 45 minutes to 2 hours and levels from 5 minutes at the lower buyins to 20 minutes at the higher buyins. Also the different buyins have different blind structures. Always thought registering at the start of a tourney was the way to go, but with 15 or 20 minute levels and 2 hour late registration, is there a reason to rethink that?

I would love to play in it - but will need to cash in one of the other games to justify it. Also have a live tournament that day and would have to bust out of it in time. The prize in it is a $10k WSOP seat - so hope I miss the online game lol. Can't wait for this to start on Monday - will play the $11 tournie for sure and giving some thought to the $33 buy-in as well.

Deffo looking forward to a few of these, if and when my schedule allows. Like Bluffy, probably not going over $11, would play a few $16.50 and $22 if they had any (except the HU one), but $33 is a bit out of my range. Will try satties to the ME or just hope I crush the series enough that I can buy straight in!
