Mansion Poker?

i've just withdrawn my money from a few sites that i don't play at much anymore and i'm thinking about depositing it at mansion as ive heard they have loose games and good promo's and they've got a 100% up to $1000 deposit bonus but it looks quite difficult to clear, has anyone played there? whats it like and is the bonus hard to clear?

Carbon PokerCarbon Poker operates on the relatively new Merge network. This is a great site for freerolls. Get a bonus of 300% upto $600 using Carbon Poker coupon code CCHAT600.

Bodog PokerBodog Poker are the best known US sports book and their poker room has grown rapidly over the last year to be one of the top destinations especially for US players.

I've heard bad stuff about them but I cant really testify...I've only played a couple of the PokerDome freerolls.

Cardschat is in the process of reviewing Mansion Poker, so if you are happy to wait a week or two, we will have an in-depth review of them for you to read.

mansion has 2 selling points as far as I am concerned.

1- rotating table (good for when you have multiple screens up and screen space is gold-dust... I like to move my guy to the corner of a window)

2- It looks fab.

3- ok I said 2 points, but can't resist this one , they are putting me up in a hotel (along with InsideEdge Mag) and giving me a 1/36 shot at a wsop package next month in london.. (after the cocktail party poker =) )

I have tried it, didn't like it and no longer play there. I have been playing on Bodog the last 3 weeks and like it so far. Before that it was poker.com. Not bad either. But bodog gives me 10% when I deposit through click2pay, which I use anyways. Poker.com gives you 5%.

Mansion are ok. They are poor on game selection though. It is basically NLHE or nothing. Their action buttons take a little getting used to as well. Frankly, they need to redesign them. The dealer sounds like he is starting a motorbike when he shuffles, but hey, that's a feature.

However, the massive saving grace :-

They are great for overlays. The 100K guaranteed is just great really for any focused poker player.

1) About 50K from entrants each day, so they have been subsidising the tourneys to the tune of another 50K each day to make it up to 100k.

2) The stacks and blind speeds are very sweet. Its a very gentle plod to the money (about 4 hours). 20k for first place. Time is a little ackward for Europeans though. 8.45am finish the other day which wasnt great for the eyeballs. Better for any Americans/Canadians though.

In, summary, give them a whirl

Yes, their low-stakes NL cash games can be very loose. I deposited $50 there in early December and have built it up to about $300. I've only cleared about 20% of the bonus, though. It's where I usually play these days for NL cash games (there and Bodog), and I like the interface. I'll move over to Stars when I feel like playing a HORSE SNG.

Play it if you've got $100 to burn, like the big overlay, and don't mind play just a notch or two above that of a freeroll. I just played tonight's 100K guaranteed and witnessed some really horrendous play, which is surprising (to me) with such a high buy-in.

Or maybe I'm just ticked because I flopped a set, bet half the pot, was raised a large amount by a guy with a flush draw, I pushed, he instacalled and drew out on me. I nursed the short stack for half an hour and doubled up once before finally being put out of my misery.
