Made $3,500 starting from their free roll

Many free-rolls pay of in bonus dollars, or the like, that you can't directly cash out. Pacific Poker is not like that. I've only played for about 16 months and last August I completely busted out of my Pacific Poker account, as I was still wet behind the ears.

Pacific Poker is known as "the easiest place to make money" on the internet. I proved that to myself through their free-rolls. Their $500 free-roll typically pays out to 90 places (90th is $5). Just play tight and you'll probably make it to the money.

From that free roll starter I continued to enter their other tournaments and was able to cash out $3500 for Christmas. Remember Pacific is the easiest place to win money on the internet. I'll gladly prove it to you with the references.

Pacific PokerPacific Poker is the poker room for 888.com casino and is still a favourite, especially amongst new players. They recently updated their software with a sleek and smooth new look which is much better to play.

I have had some problems with the Pacific Poker software and was not even able to see the tournament schedules until today. But I looked and did not see any free rolls scheduled. How often do they typically have them?

I came is 2nd in a 100$ freeroll there ... but where is the 500$ one?

And do you need to play raked hands to be able to play in them, or is it available to everyone?

As for the other tourneys there, I don't like them at all ... almost at every tourney only the first 3 places get pa yed with enormuous ammounts but the other 400 or so don't get anything

oops ... sorry ... I take the "3 places payed" back ... my bad ... didn't see the more info button lol

Pacific's ring games and SNG's are very good. Their tournaments SUCK!! The structure is terrible! Just wait till you are in 50 dollar tourney and you have to pay 3 straight big blinds because they moved you late in a tourney and you get knocked out because of it. I still love Pacific's ring games but their tournaments need some serious work!

I believe that Pacific is the easiest place to make money. Their ring games are great. I don't like how you have to have different accounts for play and real money.

It's fun to see the responses here. I'll try to respond to questions as they appear.

The $500 free roll typically occurs at either 14:30 or 15:30 Pacific Poker time. BUT, the registration occurs 30 minutes before. It FILLS UP QUICKLY. So you must be watching for its appearnce a few minutes before the hour or you will miss it. One minute late is too late.

Software is leaves much to be desired. In fact, I'll admit it's among the worse software of the nine poker rooms I've had accounts in. When you're moved to another table in a tournament you could wind up in any position. We've all, at Pacific, had the experience of being put infront of the big blind 2, maybe even three times in a row. The good news is that it's just as likely to happen to an opponent as you. And sometimes you'll skip a few blinds.

Software cont: Occassionally, although less often now than a year ago, you'll be in a tournament and you're screen will freeze. The first thing I do in that case is I try to open up an internet explorer window. That generally seems to give the PP software a kick in the slats and reactivates your table action. If that fails, log out and exit PP then immediately open the PP software again and resign in.

So why, among all the accounts I have, do I prefer Pacific with it's (expletive deleted) software?

1. It's loaded with loose, intellectually lazy, poker players.

2. Pacific is the most generous with their money. Their $x guarrenteed tournaments are typically under subscribed, giving you even more valued for your entry fee. They are quick to give you money whenever you whine about loosing due to their software. -Please treat them honestly, 'less we kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.-

I'm new to this site and am hoping that this is the best place to respond to the comments so far.
