Made $1.40 at a pokerstars 01/02 Cent Game

Made 20 cent in a 10 FPP buy in tournament last night, brought that 20 cent to a 02/04 fixed limit hold em game and made 80 cent, went to sleep woke up today played the 10 cent tourney didnt cash went to another 02/04 fixed limit game got my 10 cent back and went to a 01/02 cent NL hold em game here are my stats I made $1.40 so now my bankroll is $2.40

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 175 hands and saw flop:
- 18 out of 25 times while in big blind (72%)
- 6 out of 25 times while in small blind (24%)
- 16 out of 125 times in other positions (12%)
- a total of 40 out of 175 (22%)
Pots won at showdown - 10 of 16 (62%)
Pots won without showdown - 7

What do my stats tell about the way I play?

Total flops seems fine (22%), and the showdown wins. Maybe pots without showdown could be higher relative to the showdowns, but I don't play limit, so if that's mixed in the stats I'm not sure how relevant my comments are.

But I'm curious; how did you get FPP points to play the tourney if you had no bankroll to begin with?

Looks good to me. Seems that you saw too many hands that didn't go to showdown but doesn't seem that you lost much out of it. Look through your hand history and try to find a couple hands out of it that you should of folded preflop.

I would peg you as a little loose preflop and tight postflop. If you could tighen up just a bit preflop you might see a little more profit.

Also 175 hands is a very small sample. Can't really analize much more than individual hands. Go through your hand history and try to find something.

The stats look pretty good but don't worry about it too much.. the point is you're making money and have already made $1.40 out of 20 cents, so that's all that matters in the end.

Based on your stats, your preflop play is very selective, and you wait until you have a strong starting hand before you enter a pot.
Based on your showdown percentage, and the fact that you still have a bankroll, it appears to me that you maximized the value of your strong hands, while minimizing your losses with your marginal hands. This would tell me that you did a good job reading the texture of the board and adjusted your play accordingly.
I agree with the others, in NL, I would prefer to win more hands uncontested than to have more hands go to showdown. Based on that statistic, I would say that you should be more aggressive pre-flop and on the flop to try and eliminate opposition and take the pot down on the spot.
