Losing streaks

Wow today has been rough for me. I started out with 120$ in my bankroll and im down to 70. Lost 6 times with KK all to low low straights. I dont feel like im playing bad its just the cards are falling wrong and I dont know how to deal with it. Losing with KKs to junk and not slow playing it any of the times is rough. Any suggestions or comments?

Just keep sticking at it and suffer through the bad play. In the long run it will take a change for the better. I had a really good december then jan went mega downhill. Things at the moment are looking on the brighter side.

As is often stated patience and disipline are the keys. Stick with them and you should come out alright in time.

if i get a streak like that i tend to lay off for a few days and just play freebies.i used to go chasing it back but its the quick way to the poor house.

chasing a loss just leads to a bigger loss hence that $800 down the pan, still I learnt my lesson, even if it was an expensive one ;]

Don't ever go into it worried about money. (Winning it, getting it back, etc.) Remember why we do this, for fun. If you keep the right attitude, the $ has a way of "happening."

Well I managed to work 10$ up to 170$ and then I proceeded to lost 107$ of it all on one day. That day was today. I lost 6times with pocket Kings. I lost 4 times with a K high flush too 2 fullhouses and 2 acehigh flushes. I lost 4times with trips. and 3 times with straights. This was all today. Oh yea not to mention about 75% of thoughs were on the last card. So I'm done with online poker for awhile. It was fun and a learning experience. I might play a freeroll or 2 every now and then. I played in the one today but just didn't try cause I was in 2 tournies on Absolute and couldn't play all 3 with the attention they deserved. So some words of encouragement and advice are welcome. Thank you.

I son;t know if you can call it a streak or not, but after cleaning up last week, I couldn't draw a picture this week. I kind of saw it coming, as in the long run you can't win all the time. Probably a good thing, otherwise I might not have been invited back!

Ya I had a similar streak of bad luck this week playing poker in a real setting (casinos). Prior week made over $1000 bucks, first part of last week lost 400 bucks. Got me frustrated (tilt) realized it and took rest of week off from playing. I could not hit anything. Great prefold cards just couldn't land anything. Might even take more time offf this week as some player's realized i was on tilt for more than a day and took advantage of it.

losing streaks are part of the game... When i find myslef losing in live games, it is because I get on tilt and want to make all my money back on one hand. everyone gets crap cards, but when you get them over the course of a week, you should take a break, or play at a lo limit table. once you get your confidence back, you can go and play at your normal level. if they happen more then on a weekly basis, it might be time to find a new hobby!

We all hit the wall sometimes and nothing seems to be working. Take a break to the freerolls and when you start to see a shift in the right direction get back in.

i think i see ur problem... if you have KK you make a reasonable bet (about 6 times the big blind) so all those low card keeprs fold... you don't want to play KK with some linked cards against.. and you do not want to slow play such strong cards like QQ KK AA atleast before flop.. you wanna bet so they fold..
and i think if you would do that you wouldn't lose with those KK ) i am sure

Ya somethime things like that just happen. Sometimes if I start gettinmg bad beats with junk cards i'll stop playing for the day and start again the next. But if you are me it seems bad luck follows me around everywhere.

its bad play what follows you.. once you realize that you ll start to improve ur game

here lately i have had really bad luck i dont think its bad play because i play the same as always just dont catch anything good or if i do i get beat i was thinking online poker was cheating me because the other day i played offline and won.
