Lock or Carbon?

I play 10nl 6max mostly. I saw some posts saying there's a lot of fish on merge sites? I'm thinking that's good. I want tons of fish. That's how u make money. But I can't decide if my new home should be Lock or Carbon? CC has some events on Carbon I think. So that's a plus for carbon. I was leaning towards Lock but there no CC events. I'm just not sure which to deposit at. Which ever one I pick I will play a lot of cash games at. What u guys think? How's customer service at both? Stars had good customer service but I played my cash games at full tilt cuz of rake and there customer service was horrible in my opinion. I know they both give 35% rakeback I believe so that's awesome. Also I trying to deposit thru western union. Do they both do that? And I have PT3 I assume that works for both?

I play at lock, mainly the don sng and the micro
cash games. The only dealing with support I've had with them
was asking for a usemywallet invite, which
they sent right away. I've noticed carbon has more to pick
from in terms of tourneys but I think the cash
games are fairly the same.

I may be putting some money on carbon as well soon since they have
some mtt sng games that lock isn't running.

They are both essentially the exact same, just depends on the private and site specific tourneys is all. Like CC has a private tourney on Carbon, but none on Lock, yet. The cash games are not site specific, so someone on Lock can play someone on Carbon. I personally like the look of Lock a little better, and they have one way that makes it a lot easier to get money on there, but you can't get the deposit bonus from it, but any Visa or MC will work with it

I wouldn't put a grand in. I mean there's good chance fbi might go after them too u know? I was gonna deposit 100 maybe 200 cuz then I have 20 buy ins for 10nl and I like to have 20 when multi tabling online. But with the what happened to big 3 I don't know if I wanna put in more than a hundred. I should be ok with 10 buy ins plus the deposit bonus money as I clear it as long as I don't get off to a real bad start. I refuse to play less than 10NL. I mean that's about all I can take. 5NL play would be too frustrating for me. I'm guessing its an all in fest.

ok,costumer service at Carbon is great in my opinion but i'm not sure that they support western union...you can use moneybookers for deposit(i would recommend it )and it takes just a couple of minutes...and if i would have to choose between these two rooms i would pick Carbon that's for sure ..and yes,there is a lot of fish

Well I did it. I just sent 100 thru western union to Lock. The samurai put me over the top. Plus I didn't realize the bonus was 200 I thought it was 100%. So I put in a hundred and with bonus I hoping that's enough buy ins to get me started at 10NL.

Tho I am a lil angry with one thing. Someone stole my name! I couldn't use RdotJdot! What asssss would do that to me???? He better hope I don't sit at table with him. You never open another account in Merge?, Aced, PDC, Nordica, Refeer, feltstars, players only, etc, etc.

If you open account in another skin but in same merge network probably you already use that nick, if not then someone in all the network probably use it, not mean that was used in Lock necesarily, could be in any other skin of the network, but because player base is same for all skins then can´t have same nick even if is in different sites.

Yeah its possible. When I first started I may have opened a few with an old email address. I don't remember for sure but its definitely possible. Thst was like 6 years ago so who knows.

But even on CC events I use riverbot on tilt. So if someone opened an account under RdotJdot on FT its an old email that hasn't been used for at least 5 years. I not saying they did but if they did it hasn't been logged on for at least 5 years. Just saying

Carbon probably has better promos. Other than that they are basically the same site.

I definitely liked software on pokerstars and full tilt better. Its just like smoother and they both have more to it. I knew the game selection would be less but there r even less games going than I expected. I thought since cash games were all of merge there be good number but there were only a few going when I was on early afternoon. I am guessing it will be better tonight when I get home.I gues it is what it is. Maybe more people will sign up as people get sick of not playing online and there will be more games going in a bit.

I was thinking lock also. What's so bad about the software? I understand lower traffic or game selection but as long as there are fold, call, raise buttons and some sort of table display....

I like Lock's software personally, the traffic is lower when you compare it to FT or PS, but every site is lower compared to them, but for the US players, what choices are there out there, its either Merge, Cake or Bodog.
There are plenty of cash games going on, but the SnG traffic can be really slow at times.

Carbon Poker as you can change the table images and colours. Also Carbon is the flagship sites of the Merge Networks.

I just think the software on pokerstars and FT seems to have more to it and run a lil smoother. It just seemed they were a lil easier to use. Idk maybe its just cuz I was use to them. Yea, the slider is jumpy so I just use the % potbet buttons. Enough options to usually get close to desired amount.

Yea, that is one thing I was just starting to really like on FTP was that I could program in my personal bet amounts for those buttons. But the buttons on Merge aren't bad, and I could always use a script...

This $15 processing fee on withdrawels at lock sux. Its gonna add up cause I don't wanna keep a lot of money tied up in any site in case agent "third eye" makes another move. So I was gonna keep sifting the min., $100 at a time. USE THE RAKE TO PROCESS MY DAMN CHECK !!!!!!! To date, I have only deposited and played at Lock, though I recently opened an account at Carbon so I could partake in the CC freerolls. One perk I enjoy having at Lock is the admin panel-integrated Sharkscope function, and the ability to perform up to 10 free searches a day (in addition to the 5 free searches on the original SS website). Just a nice thing to have as a quasi-SNG player.

Carbon poker is definitely my choice out of the two. carbon has a lot of different promotions going on and a VIP program. lock poker doesn't have a VIP system and 1 active rake chase which prizes are very limited,they have the tourney/sng king and 100sto100k that they share with all the skins. Not many private FRolls either. I play on Lock though becuase i have rakeback there but you can still get RB at carbon if you dont have RB on any other skin.
