Live VEGAS Poker! This Weekend Alright! PoolBoy is headin to vegas to play some poker this weekend. If anyone has imput as to best tourneys for $100 and less are I'd love to hear the personnel comments (Please no references/links to web sites) I want to hear of real CC'ers adventures and insights. And have checked most of them out as well as most casinos pages. Thanks for posting your comments. I will look forward to reading your experiences.

O'sheas never even made that list AG O'Sheas is next to the Flamingo and has 45$ buy-in tournament starting around 1pm and aprox every 4hrs. There are anywhere from 10-60 ppl in them depending on the time of day. I believe the last game is 3am. Lots of drunks like to play there and college students(who apparently think they know everything there is to know about the poker) with a few regulars. Easy money imo, hell if I could make top 3 a few times and my first LIVE experience playing poker anyone can This was in July so not sure if anything has changed since then. Stay away from the Luxor lol Good luck in your vegas weekend and bring home the big bucks

Poolboy, I hope you have fun! Do bring clothers for very cold weather, not only is it snowing there, there was, at last, call 3 inches of snow and it's sticking. At the MGM casino, if you play the $4-8 you can make some nice money in a short amount of time. You can make the same amount of money in an off-the strip casino, but it will take you all day. No joke. Play the tourists, you should do fine. Play the locals, you won't have agood time and you'll lose. But, if you insist on playing the locals casinos play at Palms, its a nicer game and the room is small and the people are nice. If you play the Orleans on a Friday night, expect the $4-8 pots to average $120-160/hand. Tough competition. The structure of the cheap buy-in tournaments is horrible...try the limit games, first. or the $1-2 or $2-5 NL games, the buy-in is smaller than the $5-10 and if you lose quickly in the lower NL games, you'll onlhy lose about $400. if you lose right away in limit, you're only going to lose approx $100. DON'T GET SHI*-FACED and expect to win; you can't. Good luck, have fun!

Sahara tourney has awesome structure. 4k starting with 1 add on for aditional 2k in chips 1st hr only. Ended up having 126 players in field and 94 addons. 20 minute levels starting at 50/100...little less than doubleing at 20 minutes. Felt fairly slow and high patience factor. Field was deep with talent ( lotsa locals) but had no problem runng fairly deep missed bubble by 4 players. Got it In fairly good 3 times against short stacks and lost all three on better than coin flip preflop. buddy of mine went on to cash in 10th place( bastard was one who took me out....lol)
