| Nice to see a local Sacramento player on these boards! That's a tough shift to be workin'.. I don't know if I could even stay focused. How much time do you put in live right now? If you can work that schedule and already put in a lot of hours during the week and your bankroll is sufficient, I don't see why not! Which cardroom around town is it? The only cardrooms that offer 1/3 are Limelight, Folsom Lake Bowl, Rancho, and Capitol maybe? I think most other cardrooms have 2/3 instead. |

I bet it's Capital. Limelight and Folsom have other income avenues. |

| re: Live Poker Prop Players? Why are you not playing the live games around town?! There are so many bad players! I mean REALLY bad. What NLHE stakes do you play online? If you are beating at least 25NL, you will crush 1/3 or 2/3 at any cardroom here in town.. |

Unless, you like that sort of thing. But when it's a crapshoot and you are a good player, you lose your skill edge. You are better off playing cash or taking the $20/hr as a prop-player. If you don't play cash at all though, would the cardroom still accept your poker resume? Or do they not care? |

I was just looking for opinions on the value ($20 p/hr graveyard while using your own roll). Plus I know that not everyone agrees on whether or not the existance of prop players at a room is desirable. |

| Just remember, as a prop player you will not get to choose which game you want to play in. You mainly will be required to get a table started (normally shorthanded) or jump into a game that is about to break. Being a prop is not as easy as just sitting back and earning your hourly rate. |
