| Live One Table Tourney Finish Hey all, just thought I'd post about a one table tourney I played tonight. Nothing special overall, it was their inaugural event and they didn't know what to really expect. So it turned out to be ten people this time sitting at one table (actually set of tables as this was held in a restaurant/bar). Anyway, I sort of knew what I was getting into (which is a good thing). I'd say five of the players were totally dead money (no, I'm not counting myself in that group), so that was positive. We like money donors. Two others were a couple older long time dealer call it home game player types. And two others that I labeled as experienced from very early on. In fact, it was one of these two that I wound up playing heads up against. Anyway, I'm starting to ramble. Guess it is getting late. So to make a long story short (too late), I took the whole thing down in about 2.5 hours and collected $125 for my trouble ($35 entry fee, $10 of which went to charity). Worked for me. Anyway, just felt like posting and boasting a little. |

| Hey, nice one JD! My local casino has MTT 6 days a week (the casino's only about 10 min. away). Unfortunately, I very rarely get to play. Live play is so much more fun than online. Of course, I'm a people person, so I like the banter that goes along with the game, and there are some real characters at the tables, let me tell you. Anyway (now that I've started rambling on), congrats again, and here's hoping they have more of these events. |
