no stay tight the whole time the blinds dont increase meaning you dont have to make the range of hands you usually play bigger to steal them.....no ones going for position just money, play the best hands and sometimes change gears when others have you down, then wooop take them for what they got

Depends on the limit and the room, but trust me, the average cardschat user is better than 90% of the people I've seen play at the 1/2nl live games, including vegas. People either play super tight or super suicidal.

absolutely ice. so many people live play like they are on t.v. and try to be fancy and play random crap. be extremely patient, wait for your hand. even if your playin tighter than a new whore, you will find that most people will call you anyway. its almost bizarre until you think that a lotta people have way more money than brains and will pay you off just because they can afford it.

Yeah, good stuff. I took a friend of mine that does well in our home games, and plays a solid loose agressive style. I told him to expect some volatility but that his style should do well at the casino ... his hands were SHAKING but he did well ... and lost his stack on the 2nd hand. Bought back in and then 4 hours later ended up with a +$152 profit for the night. This was at the $40nl 1/2 table at Hawaiian Gardens here in Los Angeles.

Anyways, yes, CardsChat people, you will do well in the Live games. People are dumb, but you might get busted occasionally ... like me with KK and stacking off for $120 against JTo and losing.

Live or online?

If you are talking live then I assume you will be playing 1/2 NL or 2/4 Limit.

Just make sure to stay tight. The game has changed a lot in the past years and all sorts of people sit down at the poker tables playing any hands they want. Especially in a casino you will get a lot of people who don't know what they are doing...a TAG style will work really well. Just remember you can pick your spots a lot better in a cash game. No need to put your entire stack in jeopardy unless you have a really good read or the nuts.

If this is your first time playing a short stack style might be the most simple and effective way for you to double your money and cut back on the decision making. It may be boring, but it can definitely pay off well.
