Links Unavailable for FTP I was wondering if anyone had ever run across this problem while using Full Tilt. I have been on thier site for some time now, and have played in many Cardschat freerolls, as well as other poker BB's tournies. Many of them use the "link" that appears that takes you to an internet site for registration. But I am unable to do that any longer. the problem doesn't stop there. I cannot access the internet options from the lobby page pull downs (things like "check my tournament history" or various other items on these pull downs which direct you through an internet link.) There is even the My Promotions button on the cashier page, or the ads they run in the bottom left corner about upcoming events on the site, of promotions they may be offering. Nothing happens at all when I click on these links. Has something gone wrong with my computer's settings? Am I under attack from hackers or space aliens? Or am I just a computer moron? Or is there possibly something my IP has done to restrict access (partially) to a poker site??? I can still access all the regular games, both play chips and real. I just don't know why I can't access these links, and that means I cannot play in the Cardschat tournie, or the US only , or any other tournies with these link-activated registration pages. Can anyone give me some sort of help with this??? I hope it is something that I goofed up (I really am computer illiterate...to a point)

It sounds to me like your Internet Explorer has issues, most likely malware related. Update and scan with your current antivirus software and a malware scanner such as malwarebytes. If you have no problems with internet explorer other than these relating to full tilt my only suggestion would be to completely uninstall full tilt, reboot, and reinstall full tilt.

re: Links Unavailable for FTP poker I do know what you're talking about & used to have the same thing happening to me. There was also a thread here on Cardschat, telling you what you could do to fix that problem. I'll try to look it up for ya (I also had notes on what to do but it was so long ago I doubt I'll find them now but will look).

Ok I dug around & I think this is it. It has to do with your Internet Explorer settings. Go to 'Tools' > 'Internet Options' > 'Programs Tab' check the box titled 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default brower' or 'Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser' Switch to 'Connections' tab & click "LAN Settings" btn - if there is a check in the box beside "Automatically Detect Settings" please uncheck the box Click "OK" to save the "LAN Settings" Click "OK" to save your Internet Options Restart your computer to ensure the settings take effect {pretty sure I copied this info. from a post here on CC when there were some OFC games that needed to be reg. for w/o passwords}

I don't even know exactly what the hell I was talking about in the post I wrote above.. 'but' I do know that this worked to solve the exact problem you're referring to. (I was never able to register for the 'country' freerolls on Fulltilt, ie. "Canada Freeroll' because it'd re-direct me to that sign-up page & I wasn't able to get it). Same thing for other priv. tournaments that had that sign-up/reg. page thing (& would've also been with CC freerolls if I hadn't been able to fix it by then). I too am pretty much puter illiterate about most stuff (guess you can tell that though huh, lol)

It's something with your computer. I was having the same problem for a longtime on my laptop. If I wanted to register for a CC freeroll, I had to do it on a different pc. I don't know what I did (possibly when I finally downloaded and used malwarebytes), but it fixed itself, and now I have no problems. Probably best to try what PO suggested above, as I can really only commiserate with you and not offer a solution.

Hey, thank you for your info...but this evening I actually fixed it. Something my daughter did to the computer while she was here for spring break...some setting she changed or other...was causing the problem. So I set up a restore point to a date prior to her arrival, and that took care of whatever she did. Thank you for helping me with that. As always, cardschat folks do what they can so thank you. On a second note, totally unrelated...How about dem Dodgers! ! Took 3 outa four from the enemy this weekend! !
