lesson learned on being a d*ck at the table

i was at the final table of an sng when I criticized the play of one of my opponents.

I was being a total ass, and i realize bob_tiger is sitting at the same table as me.

How embarrassing.

A lot of times if someone is playing and winning with donkey hands I'll give them props on a good hand regardless of how horrible their play.Tighten up my play and wait for my chance to take them out.It will happen more than you think.Be patient and always try to be the bigger person.

I played a 10 seat sng yesterday when there were 5 playes left and the chip leader typed in " Do any of you know how to play poker?" I copied the statement. As the play continued I found myself heads up with same. Well I drained his big stack and pasted in " Do any of you know how to play poker?" as my parting shot. IT FELT SO GOOD!!!

I usually try to ignore the "bullys" at the table as they usually don't have any more idea what they are doing than anyone else. If they did they wouldn't say anything. But I have pushed back on them before. I had one guy going off one day when i was messing around at a play money table probably 6 months ago. As you can imagine he was going on and on about how good he was and how bad everyone else was playing. I ignored him until he decided to call him self a Shark in a pool of Donks. All I typed was "yeah, because the real sharks play at the play money tables" It go real quiet after that. Oh, that and I took all of his chippies.

Yeah feels good when you knock out some idiot who calls you at the table, I have done it twice today .

Usally I just give give it the bye bye, thats enough to send them ranting and railing.

I can honestly say that I have never started calling anyone, if I get knocked out of a tourney or lose my cash it was me pressing the call button no one else.

Why would you take the time to educate the very person that you were trying to eliminate?

i generally just type when ppl have a go.

however today in a $2 hu, I won a hand with A9o against QTo (i went all in when flop landed 973). Opponent called me a lucky donk and told me to go and learn how to play.

i was incredulous. which cost me the game in the end. made a daft call with a low pair.

so i've decided to turn off chat in hu. can't say i've ever gleaned any useful info from it anyway.

i live and learn.

yeah i never will understand why people like to type up all that crap while playing. unless they are trying to get under you skin, and it works, then good for them i guess.

Two german blokes did it to me yesterday calling me allsorts, I sat back chilled out and knocked them both out personally, was better than the $7 dollars I won for third place.

Even better when some guy who was at our table all through the game congratulated me after I knocked each one out. That sent them crazy from the rails.
