King Solomon MTT/$10 Freezeout

Have been playing at KS Poker for awhile, mainly 1 table S&G's having pretty consistent, steady success, nothing spectacular but making money. Decided to try MTT tonight. 97 players so 10 tables. Played tight most of evening and when we reached final 24 I was setting solidly in 24th. lol. I spent some time this wekend watching 6's play in a big money tourney at Titan & was impressed with how he hung in as long as he did short stacked. I decided to slow down & see if I could make top 20, {payed top 10} final table only. I finally went all in when almost blinded out & 14 players left. Doubled up there, won next 3 hands & was sitting in 5th with 13 players left. Called a smaller stacks allin with pocket 8's & lost when he caught a 9 on turn. Made final table went allin middle position with pocket Q's & was called by pocket K's. He caught 3rd K on flop & I finished 10th. Won 19.50, no big deal but without all the knowledge, freely given here, without the confidence gained from competing against the many good players here, I would never have considered it possible to hang in until the final table. Hell I got as high as 5th place before the good Lady Luck deserted me. Kind of a long-winded way of saying thanks to all the good, decent, friendly, and quite talented people who frequent this forum. Hanging around here can and does make one a better player. What is really great is that most of the folks here are better people than players.
