| Just...wow (bad beat rant) Ok, so I'm playing in a 300 dollar 50+Raked hands freeroll (at noble)and I manage to get to get to the final table and then top 5. Along the way I was almost always playing at a table with a player who truly terrified me. It was not his skill but his incredible luck and strange play instead. He was extremely aggressive at times and then slow played some monsters and ended up moving from first to middle rank at numerous times due to his erratic play. His luck was what amazed me. He took out no less then 5 players from the flop with hands that were twice as weak. He cracked KK with J, 6 offsuit. He said "sorry" and preceeded to eliminate more players with pathetic hands. Some players called him thinking he was bluffing and then he would pull out the straight nut or flush. I decided not to challenge him. (By the way the KK crack was for 6th place, and the KK player received no reward as only top 5 received money. I would have been HEATED). Anyways, 4 players left and I stumble upon pocket 10s. Oh boy. "Horseshoe" (as I nicknamed him) was BB and I'm dealer so I went all in to hopefully double up, as I was last in chips at the table. Natrually, he calls. Even as I see his K,2 suited, I start to sweat. I'm a 70 percent favorite here yet he manages to pull a king. Wtf? Says "Sorry" for about 12th time that night and I receieve a decent 36 bucks but I'm still a little heated over it. I can deal with bad beat but how did this guy get to top table? I thought probably just a LOT of luck, but today I checked who won the same freeroll (I didn't join this time.) and I see "horseshoe" with first. Hmm.... |
