Just what does banned mean?

1st - New and loving the site.

2nd - Question:

I went to my introduction thread this morning as I saw a new post? I could not help but notice the Banned tag underneath their name. Seeing as how they had just posted (less than 10 minutes before), I began to wonder just what the tag of banned means. Could someone please explain?

It means they are no longer active members of the forum. You will see a lot of them this weekend as members attempt to post count spam their way to 50 posts so they can play in our freerolls.

I am not a smart guy but I believe banned means. kick out or not allowed to come back, but you could use a dictionary if you dont like my explaination.

ha ha ominous - thanks for the literal translation. I believe my command of the english language is high enough to know the meaning of banned.

yup, I misunderstood. my bad, and for some reason I didnt see the post before me. I was looking for the delete button because I knew i was going to be flame for it.

I'm sure the reason it was 10 minutes is because the mod's couldn't get there sooner.

People get banned for lots of reasons.
Sharing passwords, posting advertisements (spamming), rude behavior, sucking out on Dakota-xx, etc.

If someone was banned in ten minutes, I'd say they were either posting a bunch of crap to get their post count up or they were trying to advertise something. People who's first post is something like, "I noticed a hot new site called SavagePenguinPokerPooper.com where can get a 150% bonus and it's full of donks and I deposited $5 Friday and left with $5,000 on Sunday. What do you think?" tend to get banned in 10 minutes.

Let me make the question a little more clear to avoid the "uhhhh duh" responses.

I wanted to know what being banned implied by the term banned (can't play in the freerolls, can't post, etc.) and how someone is banned (spam, abusive language, etc.)?
