Just another story about beeing on tilt

Hi folks

It all started (as usual ) after a long series of cold cards . You try to tighten up , but every hand you play even if its AA,KK , QQ etc. everything gets beaten, nothing holds up . You start thinking if Poker is a game of pure luck or maybe its just a game u suck at .
You forget about all those victories you had and that you ve build up a pretty big bankroll with the same game you are playing right now ( wich means you cant do that bad at it since you are a winning hold em player in the longer run ... )

Suddenly you play longer sessions than usual just because u cant believe everything can go that wrong . Well , i lost about 100$ in a few hours playing 1/2 $ limit and after i failed there , i bought into some bigger journeys ( 20 $ ) just to get the money back quick , then my genius mind thought - ok im not good at ring games limit , im not good at tourneys - i have to play NL holdem ( another tilt idea ) - well after all my bankroll took a hit of over 200 $ in a very short time ( 5 hours maybe ) . And as usual , i didnt notice i was on tilt - i kept doing crazy things like playing bigger tourneys etc. but i had this " you cant win at this game "- feeling every time i sat down at a table ( wich i think is the biggest problem - i didnt believe in my/the game no more ) .
If i only was honest to myself i would have had to say to myself "Now is no good time to play for you - let poker be poker , do something else , just leave it as it is " - but as we all know its a very hard thing to do if you are that emotional involved .


2 days later i got my mind back , started to build up my bankroll again and now after another two days playing well ( as well as a Poo can do ) i got the 200 $ back , it was much work to get the money back but it was so easy to burn it before ( i really have to remember that !!! ) .

Well - thats the end of another Tilt story ( i think its good for me to wite it down tough )

Venting and writing thing down is what we are here for Poo. I wish I could get back the $265 I blew in a week. I thought I had it turned around but then the cards went cold again for me. I'm glad to hear of your turn around. It gives me a little hope of my own. By the way what is your native tongue?

I am form vienna/austria . The language spoken here is German .
i once read a tip for beiing behind in the money . So if u for example lost 200 $ ur mind tells you you are 200 $ behind , but you should tell yourself that you are even right now and then play again . So you start each session even . and then try to play a profitable session ( 1 hour or so ) .

Don,t know if i believe in tilt at this moment.Now i know this will go against the norm with many people on here but i seem to be able to get over bad beats and such very quickly.Thats because i have only been playing poker some 5 months but with some big wins in many hard tourny,s.

Maybe you are the one sucking out and putting bad beats on others then?

or maybe he didnt experience the real loooooong loooong cold run yet
