Anyways, I think AlienGenius said he will be out there as well at that time, so I'd like to see if we can coordinate a group get together and outing. Who's in?

Hey Aloe and Alien ... I'll be staying at the Tropicana. Arriving July 4th in the afternoon and leaving Monday around noon. Lets party.

Staying here: Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon - Las Vegas, Nevada have no idea how far that is from the Tropicana.

I realy wish I could but I have my kids on the 4th and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Keep in mind it's going to be very hot for those of you not used to the heat of the desert, dress acordingly and keep well hydrated! (with water in the daytime....)

Ice, have you ever gone to Flyaway up on Convention Center drive? Too much fun!!!

Apparently Aloe is staying at some old saloon in Downtown Vegas. Weird part of town if you ask me. You are nowhere near the strip so i hope you have some taxi money or a rental car!

And AB - no ... I've never even heard of Flyaway. And I've been to Vegas like 350 times (and the convention center plenty of times for CES, etc).

Haha trying to show off huh Aloe? Well not only am I staying at the Tropicana for free, I had a room for my friends comp'd too. Trust me I am the king of hookups, just as ChuckTs.

At least where you are staying you are a walk from the old Horseshoe, the original home of poker.

They changed the name from Flyaway to Vegas Indoor Skydiving. For 6 years I used to fly to Vegas every 9 weeks for work and would spend at least a day or two having fun at Flyaway. It's a great place to practice bodyflight since I could get in 10-15 minutes of freefall time vs the 45 seconds to a minute on a normal jump. Don't expect that much time, mostflights are only a few minutes. I was a regular and a lot of the time we flew between groups and after hours. Besides, 10-15 minute freefalls in 120 mph wind will wear anyone out bigtime.

I highly recomend trying it. The instructors are great for non-skydivers and will get you flyng in no time. In fact most people who go there have never jumped before.

Bill's used to the the Barbary Coast; now owned by Harrah's. It's in a GREAT spot! Right next to Bally's and Flamingo! I've never actually stayed there, but I've played there. if anyone wants me to pick them up at the airport, I'll do it!

I'm down in El Cortez for the first 3 days so probably event 22 at Binions on the 17th? I want some cheap practice before my WSOP game on the 21st.

I am staying at Palace Station (North Strip, just to the West), pretty inaccessible in general, but I have a car. I think it will be a nice sanctuary from the general crowds and noise.

The 4th on the Strip = crazy amounts of people.
