Joined Pokerstars

I joined pokerstars today and in the referal i added cardschat which was fine. when i went to deposit cash 100.00 they asked for a bonus code again i added cardschat. it did not accept it. I only see my 100.00 in the account. i do not see the additional 50.00 for using cardschat referal.

anyone know whats going on?

If you check the bottom of the Cashier's page, do you see a "bonus status" button?

no bonus status button.

Your bonus doesn't show up along with your deposited money. There should be an option in the Cashier window, "Check My Bonus Status", where you can see how much your bonus is, and how many Frequent Player Points (FPP's) you need to earn in order to unlock your bonus. You should have 6 months to earn your bonus from time of deposit.

Just heard back from my rep rep this is the way to sort it:

You should email support@pokerstars.com and they will be able to confirm that you are tracked to CardsChat and eligible for the bonus once you meet the requirements.

Yeah the same thing happened to me yesterday...I deposited on Stars for the first time and it didn't accept 'CARDSCHAT' as a bonus code. When I get home I'll check out the bonus status to see if there is one, if not I will email support as well. By the way I also tried another bonus code ('PAWT3') which I had seen on here and elsewhere and that didnt work for me either.

OK just confirmed with my rep.

Apparently 'CARDSCHAT' is the "marketing code" at sign-up you need to enter to get the exclusive $25 extra bonus and when depositing you need to enter "First2008" to receive your standard $50 bonus.

It's a bit of a confusing system to be honest, I will be sure to update our pokerstars page to include this information.

Thanks Nick...it may be a little late for me, lol...but I emailed them about it, and I included your response above so I'll see if anything comes of that...hopefully I'll get at least the normal $50, and if I'm lucky maybe they'll still give me the extra $25...(I'm not holding my breath, but if they do I will be impressed)

I can confirm that your account is linked to CardsChat. I checked your account, and unfortunately it looks like you didn't deposit using the bonus code. You needed to use "First2008" in order to get the 100% up to $50.

Skys the Limit- that is crazy, because the same thing happened to me, and when I emailed support they gave me the bonus (100% up to $50, but not the extra $25 CC bonus, oh well). Here is the repsonse I got from them:

You needed to use the bonus code "First2008" at the time of making your
deposit. Since you did not enter this code, the bonus wasn't automatically
credited to your account.

I have now manually credited the 100% deposit bonus according to your
$100.00 deposit to your account.

The bonus has been assigned to your account and it is in "pending" state.
Once you earn the required FPPs for playing in live games and tournaments,
your bonus moves from pending into your PokerStars cash account. We will
send you an email that confirms that the bonus funds have been moved to
your cash account, and you can see this transaction in your transaction
history in the Cashier window.

Since the bonus has already been assigned to your account, making any
cashouts or deposits won't affect the bonus to be credited once you earn
the required FPPs.

some good news , with my last email. They are now going to activate that bonus. Here is the latest from pokerstars support:

Mine took a few days after my deposit to show up. It will say "credit purchase" on the history. It will make it.

The CardsChat bonus is what im refering to.
