| If you hit silver for six months and then hit a month of bronze, does your recurring monthly bonus reset? Or do you just have to hit ANY iron man level each month to keep the bonus rolling? |

| Apparently there's a new change in the ironman store: B. Ring Game Tickets: Kind of like tournament tickets, but for ring games. You can find them in the regular FTP Store and Iron Man Store ranging from $10 to $200. Buy into any single ring game table with a ticket. This should be a handy thing for anyone who has a bunch of points/medals, not a lot of cash in their account, and doesn't like to play tournaments. |

Edit: Nevermind, I found it out. You need to hit a specified number of FTP's in order to be able to cash out the value of the ticket. For example, on a $10 ticket, you need to hit 250 FTPs, or on a $200 ticket, you need to hit 5000 FTPs. Kind of dumb. |

| More info these Ring Game Tickets can be found here. It seems that you can buy into cash games with them, but won't receive their value in pure cash until you've earned a certain benchmark of FTP points with them. Honestly, the first thought that came to my mind when I read about these was--isn't there a serious loophole here? Couldn't someone just buy into a game with one of these tickets, lose it to a friend, and arrange to have that friend send the ticket's value back to them in cash, rendering it essentially an instant (and rake-free) bonus? This could be construed as a form of "chip dumping", but as the people involved would not be putting themselves at an unfair advantage over other players, would or should this be punishable? Only FTP would be paying, since they'd be missing out on rake that may otherwise have been generated had the owner of the ticket continued to maintain it. How would/should FTP deal with this kind of situation? Last edited by SYWTWAF : 5th April 2011 at 4:40 PM. |

I usually register a day in advance for the $0+$0.10 $1000 Guarantee that starts at 17:35 ET (21:35 GMT). By registering every day and I'm assured 1 FTP per day and the 15 medals by earning ticket for the "One-A-Day Freeroll". I must average around 20 day per month so even if I sit out the 10¢ entry fee tourney, at most I lose $1 a month. The 15 medals is half of what an Iron Day (30 medals) cost, and more than enough for a $2.20 BLT ticket (13 medals). Last edited by marvingubba : 13th April 2011 at 3:00 AM. |

| You must play more than just that tourney to get your required amount. I'm pretty sure only paying $0.10 rake won't get you a full FTP as it takes about $0.14 per FTP in tourney buy-ins. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. |

Iron = $100 Gold = $75 Silver = $50 Bronze = $25 So if you did three months Iron, one month gold, one month silver and the last month bronze, you would get a $450 bonus to clear during July. Then say from July to Dec you hit Iron every month, you would receive a bonus of $600 that you would have to clear in Jan the following year. So the most you can earn is $1200 Iron man bonus each year. Not bad imo. |

| Last year I got a medal in Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr, and May. I didn't make it in June because of some vacations and being busy with work. I looked in July for my bonus, and it was nowhere to be found. I found out later (through cardschat) that I had to medal in June to get all of the previous bonuses. LAAAAMMMEEEE. This year I will make sure to play in June. |

| This is a great promo but clearing the entire bonus forces you to play even more! Quote:
You have just 45 days to clear the bonus @ $0.05 per FTP. You'll need 6000 FTP to clear the entire $300. $300 ÷ $0.05/FTP = 6000 FTP 6000 FTP ÷ 45 days = 133.33 FTP per day Average $300 = 133.33 FTP per day Average! At a 50 FTP per day level of play... You make Silver in a month by playing 25 days at 50 FTP/day. If you played 40 of the 45 days at 50 FTP/day you will clear just $100. To clear your entire $300 bonus you need to play at Gold or Iron levels for July and August. You see where this is going don't you... Let's say you play at Gold or Iron for Jul-Aug and back to Silver for Sep-Dec. Now you'll get a Year-End Iron Man Bonus of $350-400, requiring even more play in Jan-Feb to clear the increased amount! Good news is you don't need to clear the entire bonus. At the end of the 45 day you get whatever amount you've cleared. My approach was to play Iron for 2 months to clear the bonus and then Gold for the next four months. This would get me a $500 bonus which took 10,000 FTP to clear, or 40 days @ 250 FTP/day. Any bonus is good. No matter how much you clear. Here's the most you can expect to clear if you play 40 of the 45 days. 50 FTP per day -> $100 125 FTP per day -> $250 250 FTP per day -> $500 |

| From what I've recently read it looks like FT will remember your April Iron Man Status so you can pick up where we left off. It also says they will honor months earned towards the Mid-Year bonus. In addition, Iron Man Medal and Academy Credits will be converted to FT Points. At some point, they suggest the FT Store will be opened to US players so we can use these FT Points to buy merchandise. |
