If you were to choose one site to make money...

Hey,

I would like to know your recommendations for the top 2 poker sites you guys would choose with the following in mind:

1. Amount of overall bad players that play.
2. The amount of bad players that play in the 1/2-4/8 NLHE range
3. The best bargains for garuantee tournaments.

Now I know that Fulltilt has great tournaments and a large amount of players, and I know that Bodog has a fair share of extremely loose donks, but I just can't decide between the two.

My main priority is making money right now, with a higher priority for NLHE cash games, but also want to enter tournaments.

I have subscribed to Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker, Bodog and Doyles room and have played the longest on Fulltilt and Bodog Out of the 4, I would choose Fulltilt and Bodog as my favorites due to the reasons above, but would love to hear any more solid sites out there that meet my criteria.

Thanks in advance.

I just started at doyle's room. I have not been playing long but it does not seem to have half the donks as bodog.

with the amount of people (90,000 online avg.),I'd say Pokerstars for sure. Lots of donks! Play 45 man S&G's and the $3.30 rebuy ($30,000 guaranteed) for best chances. Dont let them fool you! alot of them are just sitting on big slick (AK) almost brain dead players. guys hold on to QQ with kings and aces all over the felt just as an example

In terms of horrible players, Party if you can play on it (ie. if you're not American).

In terms of guarantees, pretty much every site is very conservative when applying a guarantee, so there's never much overlay to be found.

Poker Stars!!!
I used to play at full tilt and thought I loved it there, but now PokerStars is the place for me, wouldn't recommend anything else! Lots of fish especially late on weekends, and lower cost in fees for mtts and sngs.

Try Cakepoker.
The bonus is easy to clear, especially at the levels you play.
Lots of incentives to keep you playing there,ie Gold chips, and Gold card rewards.
Good variety of MTT's,bounty games.
Plenty of loose canons, throwing they're cash around.
Good luck.

Indeed! The SNG's at Bodog are a good place to make some money. Considering they pay out 5 places for the beginner ones. Only drawback to that is, for say, the $4 beginner tourney, first pays only $12. Still a good place to build a bankroll though, all you have to do is beat half the field and you have at least your buy-in back.

Not true of Bodog. Almost every tournament Bodog offers has a HUGE overlay. If you are a MTT player Bodog is absolutly the place to play. A lot of the people playing on Bodog come over from the sports betting section. Meaning, they are there just to gamble it up and have some fun.
If nothing else d/l the Bodog software and look at the finished tounreys....you will see what I mean.

Seems to me that Pokerstars is a much better site to play at over BODOG, less wild calls with nothing only to have the randomizer help them considerable. Haven't given myself the opportunity to play at Doyle's yet. That will probably be my next endeavor. Being American kinda hinders the amount of sites I'm able to play at, nonetheless there are some new opportunities.

I play at Players only VIP (a cake site)
Got 100% instant match when I loaded up.
I get 33% of the rake back every month (June will be over $100).
Fish Galore (but also sharks in on the feeding frenzy)
Takes credit cards from Americans

if ur looking for bad players then party poker is the place to go, plus cashout is very easy, 2nd would have to be absolute (in all fairness though never cashed out, hahaha, just can't seem to keep my cool a bad beat) 3rd by far I seriously believe it's tilt (and i've never cashed on there site at all, i'm just basing my theory on my friend who lost alot of money on that site, yet in his defense he's a really good player when it comes to live) 4th pokerstars, but the higher in limits you play thel better they play

gl oh and by the way pokerstars is the best for support, then absolute, so forth and so on

Hmmm. A more balanced view might be that Bodog has perfectly good withdrawal options unless you are an American. In that case, several of the options won`t work for you, because of the silly regulations imposed by your government.

I agree with egon. Bodog for sure. (stars is good for volume yes)but not only poker at bodog, but all casino games, sports betting and horse racing all make it a plus. and nobody is even mentioning carbon poker, I find that site to be very enjoyable, easy payouts and also more options like backgammon and casino games. plus at carbon they encourage tiltiing people with little pop ups and chat is pronouced though a white tab that pops up over your head..really funny check it out!

I only have BR's at PokerStars and SportsBook. At Full Tilt and PokerTime I've only played in freerolls.

PokerStars is what I would consider the Cadillac site. Their integrity, software quality, and level of support are unsurpassed IMO.

I agree with the earlier poster that SportsBook (or Cake in general) is good for cash games, I have no trouble making money there. The fact they accept most US credit cards is also a plus. The downside is their software is only fair, and there seem to be far more donks that probably join SportsBook to bet other sports than just poker. Which is probably why I do okay in $25 or $50 NL cash games long term, but in tournaments I suck at SB. I just can't adjust to the large donk field and get frustrated.

I'm not fond of FT at all, it probably has something to do with my not depositing there and being stuck with a ton of freeroll donks. But I think it's more their software, I find it cheesy and grating. As a software developer myself, I'm somewhat jaded about these things. Although SportsBook/Cake tends to get trashed for their crappy software, I actually like it better than FT's.

I like to play where the overlays are.

Ultimatebet has the sweet ones right now though they are coming down a bit. The sniper tourneys are a great deal. Bounties + guarantee that usually overlays on top.

Bodog overlay is best on big buyin tnys-- so if you are playing a $100 entry--- big ones (overlays).....

So I haven't played nearly as much FT lately.

Also try Carbon Poker, there aren't alot of players on that site just yet, but they have alot of Bounty SNG's and reasonable buy ins for MTT. Also the competition isn't that fierce, I've been doing fairly well on there as a beginner poker player. Might have to wait up to 10 min to get enough players on the SNG tables but I feel its worth it.
