Sounds like u just took a bad beat or werent very creative in coming up with a way to get ur posts to get into the FRs here at CC. Tilt is no worse than any other sites out there, imo. You just need to check ur limits maybe take a break and try a different game for while. At any rate good luck with it where ever u land.

If you cannot make money playing with the kind of players that you mention, I'm not sure how you will. The last thing I want is a table full of people equal to or better than my abilities. I will take a site with people playing to have fun that have deep pockets every day of the week!

********************************************* ok, now for a post actually on the topic.... The downside: The more people in the hand, the tougher it is to "push" anyone out of the pot...so play only the best of starting hands, but don't over play them PF/Flop...don't try too hard before you see the turn and river to know if your hand will hold.... The upside: when you're holding the nutz (or at leat top two pair with no flush/str8 draw...or flop the str8/flush/boat) with a whole bunch of players in the hand, the harder it is to push people out of the pot....so try even harder...they'll STILL call... and you'll take all their money! |

boy do i know that feeling it happens on all the sites if your not patient enough but the badbeats happen tilt gives me a lot of problems but thats because i play mostly freerolls with no bankroll but stay focused on your game it shall break out one day and there are a lot of fish on tilt in the long run u will come out ahead .

i know how u feel but thats like me on every poker site. No matter what if i have 3 aces someone stays with a 3 5 unsuited and hits the str8 on the river - and why they stay in with that kinda cards are unreal at these poker sites , my guess is they know that the river is very catchable.

re: I hate Full Tilt poker on every pokersite you have to deal with donks, but what would we do without their money? lol Its true they sometimes win but on the long distance they are losers, you might have a bad day bad beats or whatever, take a break and start again thats what I do if I cant beat the fishes

ITs hard to make money on Full Tilt because the donks that call hoping to hit their hand....do hit it 90% of the time. It is madness!!!!! I have been wanting to switch but I'm not sure which website has freerolls. Pokerstars has the ridiculous freerolls with too many people and the winner only gets entry.

Bodog have $500 freerolls twice a day, one is starting in about 20 minutes...

re: I hate Full Tilt poker Well godoy,I will bet you they arent chasing in the $1 ring game level, you need to have $20 to sit down at the table. You will run into chasers and crazy betters at any low limit game,You need to move up to higher money to actually have a decent game.In fact the games Ive played at($1) fulltilt, rarely does anyone actually call to the river.

Poker sitess ALL poker sites are 95% filled with players that are donkeys, fish, noobs, call them what you want to. If you play the higher money tables, thats where the real players are at, but many players, such as I, do not want to gamble away paycheck after paycheck. I hate bad beats too, like every body else. Just don't switch poker sites if you like full tilt, you will find that all poker sites are alike and filled up with fish.

I agree FT is full of idiots who tend to get lucky (the more there are the luckier they get!) I've been playing a $2 sng every day to qualify for the ironman freeroll(normally the 27 player turbo) and didnt get close to cashing in the first 9 I played (I had higher pairs, set vs gut shot, you name it!) Finally a few cards held up and I've cashed 4 times including a 1st and a 3rd so am actually up for the month (just!) despite the bad run. Poker sucks when you're playing well and getting unlucky- I find it very hard to keep calm and realise sometimes there's nothing you can do, but over time if you're playing well and people are just getting lucky, then it's almost certain that your bad run will end and you'll recover any/ all losses. It's an odds game- luck plays a big part when the odds dont work, but try not to let it get to you!

You want them to pay to see the turn and river if you have a made hand, pros is not what you want to play at that level, they will take you out.... you want them to pay to see that card, and so when they miss there str8, and or flush you get payed and they get to see why they should not chase... That sound right? Quote:

Exactly where are you playing? If you at the penny, nickle and dime tables people will play it like a freeroll or funny money game and fish more. Try moving up to the .25/.50 cent or more tables there's more poker, less, but never completely fish free poker played there.

re: I hate Full Tilt poker I got slaughtered. I had KK 13 times and won only 6 of those hands. Is that possible? IS THAT POSSIBLE??? Sorry. It was the ugliest 3 buy-in downswing I have had in a long ass time. I ran up against a set with a big over pair 4 times (KK twice, AA once, QQ once). I got all in 7 times and lost 5. My money was in right only twice... It was ugly.

Donks and fishes are the lifeforce of cash games. I always give them the impression that they are good players when they lose a hand. Playing against these type of players you have to think of yourself as the house. You are putting your money in when you are ahead and they are calling your bets with bad odds. It is like Vegas, they can beat you in the short run with bad beats but in the long run they are getting clobbered. So you want bad beats as long as you are not making mistakes.

Well places like these can put you on tilt fast. I'm one of those players that gets annoyed, but with good bankroll management, that's who you want to play with. I read an article from a full tilt pro that when you can be indifferent between winning and losing is when you can become a great poker player, meaning don't let emotions get to you. Also, play limit games. Limit games not only can teach you pot odds, but they also let you see more hands other players are playing with, making you a better reader in NL.

Every site has the same type of people. As long as there is internet poker or poker actually there will always be people that will pay to chase. These are the people you want to play against. Yes it sucks when they hit the river but you have to be willing to fold when you know they hit. And more often than not the will miss completely.

I agree the donks often do follow the river.. I agree the donks often do follow the river..but the bad beats got to be expected at times. I played in a tourney tonight ...albeit a freeroll and placed 4th...I won 2 bucks, then I almost took that money and placed in the 200k double deuce..came 22nd, on a rebuy...with only having a dollar I think I did pretty well. The previous post of watching your blinds and playing the right limits was right on the money..I play on UB too, I find there are much more bad beats there so you actually have to hold back a little even with a good hand like AA and wait till you know you have the best hand on the river. Anyhow, Gl...remember patience is the key!!

I feel your pain with the donks calling all streets then hitting their miracles on the river to rob you of your money. Be that as it may, they are the ones that probably contributed most of the money that is padding your bankroll right now. You always have to look for those calling stations. Why not try using something like handshq.com and import them in a manager to get a good feel on how many calling stations are at your table before you sit.
