| Hustler Casino Semi-Review Blame Qhris ! At least a few of us have tried (GAG ME WITH A SPOON!) Hustler Casino. Google it for the link. For me I have this naggy feeling that there may be games where I win a live seat at the casino, which is nearby.. But truthfully I can't find any good description of almost anything that goes on at this site. As mentioned elsewhere the software does leave something (everything???) to be desired. If we only look at the table, it is on par with Carbon. Which means it looks better than Bodog. As yet I am not sure I can even create notes on players. The T&C's seemed to stress the site was for entertainment only. The software is from Zen Entertainment. They need a new poker playing programmer. For a fee I guess you can play the site without commercials. For me, the comsumate freeroll whore, I have to deal with the commercials...(EVEN ANGELS WILL FALL !!!???) As far as I can tell, there is only Tourney games, both MTT's and S'nG's. The fields are small, and the payout structure is even smaller. The play is mostly Texas Holdem, but perhaps the more interesting game is Royal Holdem. Special deck with only the 4 different Royal Flush cards (20 cards total), and 6 seats. The smallest possible hand would be 2 pair, and that won't win. The primary other game is UFC holdem. 3 down cards to start, then 3 to the board, then a single last card. Some twisted variation on 7 stud....sort of. They have Video Poker tourneys as well. The screens are not sizable, and if you play multi tables, without paying for the ad free upgrade, you could be swamped with commercials running on the other tables during breaks, which seem way to frequent. This is not a place you will feel overwhelmingly comfortable at. No creature comforts and blaring hawkers. I have seen good players and bad players at the table, perhaps not as soft as I thought it would be. It is a shame we Americannots are reduced to this level of gaming, but, a players gotta do what a players gotta do!..... It is one of those subscription sites, which we may all soon be forced to play at. If there were any other sites besides Merge, I wouldn't recommend Hustler. But since the pay as you play model seems broken, the pay to play model seems to be next. Overall rating 7 frownies on a scale of 1-5. Last edited by dj11 : 4th May 2011 at 1:50 AM. |

| I think you summed it up pretty good. I will play here till I can figure out what I am gonna do next. I still have some money on Carbon but it seems like playing even there will be pointless soon. I will give that UFC game a try. I hope they will bring in some other games like PLO or even Pineapple. If they bring those in I might even join. For now i will see what I can do but the majority of the games seem to be qualifiers. Oh well. I like playing poker so I will play. |

Have to say though I have to laugh a site that gives you 1500 points just for logging on. They also give 5000 for updating your address in your profile. You have to win a lot of tourneys to get the same????? I am loving the UFC poker though. This is the kind of game that I would have loved to play for real money at PS. Poofy you should join just in case we can pull off an invasion Last edited by kmixer : 4th May 2011 at 11:53 PM. |

Most, but not all of the ads are gone when you pay. And the few videos that do run can be muted. |

| Just won some money here ($15) and have no idea how to either play real money games, or collect it. If there is a FAQ page, I have yet to find it. I have got used to the commercials almost to the point where I don't hear em, and the graphics are fairly nice, but the missing creature comforts are a bummer. Sizeable tables for instance, or fold cards, or an intuitive way to find the lobby. Amongst many others. Any land based US casino that does NOT license any of the big 3's (Stars or Tilt's or Cereus') software is shooting itself in the foot. |

Anyway the only games that seem worth it are the 2K games and the $200 games all the rest are either VIP or winner takes all. Kinda lame but I guess this is all we have for now |

| Got to a chatty final table and learned that the T&C's spell out prize distributions. Further found out that a check is sent for one months gains after the 3rd week of the following month. I will have to explore the details more. But apparently, each player has to request it. Some talk about W9's for cashes over $600. So, there is no way to turn small gains into rapidly growing large gains, there are no ring games, unless they show up with a subscription. I have learned to deal with the software. But every now and then there is a completely wrong add that blasts in my ear...Def Leopard at volumes that cause ear damage for instance..... |

| Same software, but I am not sure it is considered a skin; http://www.ufc.com/poker. I consider skins as having a shared player pools, and as yet I can not find whether or not this is the case. I get the feeling there are many, many other versions of this software from Zen Entertainment. I think it wouldn't be all that difficult to pay for the VIP package, but I also get the feeling it would be a pain in the ass on a monthly schedule. |

| If you go to Card Player.com, you will find they have 2 different poker downloads. One is a UB variant, perhaps even UB itself, the other is a Zen Entertainment site. Same as Hustler. I have this feeling there are many unheard of skins connected to Zen. The network is busier than Merge with poker tournies like, real often, way less than 10 minutes, many start at the same time. Game selection is limited to Texas HE, UFC Knockout holdem (some blend of Tex and Omaha, Royal holdem (20 card deck), and several video poker variants. Video poker has both Single player, and Tourney play. They play for a set time, from 4 minutes to 16 (longest I've seen). Interesting, but in either case they are time sensitive and you won't want to be distracted. Still have to figure out how to collect money, I think I have won some. The money thing here, and probably with all subscription sites, is that you can't build a bankroll, and move to bigger games. From what I have gleaned, the money gets paid next month, and can accumulate, but there are no real money buy-in games. This Zen Entertainment is a subscription network, sort of Like ClubWPT, but much easier to play at. I don't need to dl any other skins. Keep in mind you are nearly constantly bombarded by noisy adverts, and too many breaks (3 per hour????). I think for $5/month you can skip the ads. They do have juicier looking VIP games, which this FRW does not qualify for, but I am not sure if the $5/month gets to play those or if hey are for the more regular $20/month subscription fee. So if playing at the Hustler scums you out, play via UFC, or CardPlayers...... Last edited by dj11 : 24th May 2011 at 1:46 AM. |

| I've played on ClubWPT before. So SpadeClub and ClubWPT are also on this network? More to the point, is there any point in joining one over the other? Like how on Carbon you might find some good private games that are better than the ones on RPM for example. Does such a situation occur on this network? |

| As far as I know, ClubWPT is not on the Zen Entertainment Network. SpadeClub doesn't exist anymore, but I read where they referred their customers to either Zen, or Hustler. Of the current available (to the US anywho) sites, this 'unknown' network seems busier than any others. But it is very different from what we have known, and loved. They apparently run under the Sweepstakes regulations in each state or jurisdiction. Same as ClubWPT. In essence it is all freerolls, even if you pay the subscription fees. |

| I get this from ZEN; Dear dj11, This note is to remind you that you have registered for the following tournaments starting today: "$2000 Card Player Monthly Championship" Check-in for this tournament begins at 05/27/2011 09:50:00 PM, EDT and the tournament will begin promptly at 05/27/2011 10:00:00 PM, EDT. Please note that if you do not check-in to a tournament from the list in time, the tournament will begin as scheduled and you will automatically post blinds and fold every hand until you take your seat at the table. Sincerely, Zen Entertainment Customer Service This is a very nice reminder. Neither of the big 3 or 5 or 6 did that for me. |

| On June 1, or maybe May 31, I got an email about a prize I had won, and had to fill out some ID stuff, simple, not intrusive. Today, June 20, I got a check from Zen Entertainment for that 15 buck I had won at the end of April. No muss, no fuss, no hidden payment processors. So that part is good. Payments should be automatic from here on out IF I win anything. May was a bust, but June is looking fair. I can not opt out of receiving these payments. I can not build a bankroll to play the beefier games. Thus is the downside of the Zen Way! I play via Hustler Casino, but there are several if not many other sites who use the Zen network. At this point, the fact is that Zen Entertainment is better than all the Merges and FullTilt combined in how they handle their customer's winnings. Oh whoa is us..... Odd, now if I can just get past those pesky advertisements. TY Dorkus! At least one US player is making money playing online poker..... |

| re: Hustler Casino Semi-Review poker I just won $15 and am hoping something comes in the mail. Yo dj11, that sounds great, I hope I receive the same check from Zen in the upcoming months. I was a bit skeptical since I received no email confirmation of my winnings, and under my account info, it suddenly disappeared. So now I have no records showing I have any cash winning.. just a hope they are honest. I can't complain about a free game that lets you win 10, 15, 50 bucks... assuming they pay it. *keeps fingers crossed* |
