How to start with PokerStars?

I would like to start playing at PokerStars. I have heard that i cannot get rakeback deal with PS. Why do people play there then? What do they offer instead of rakeback? Whats the alternative?

With what affiliate site (if thats right expression) should i register to PS so i will get some advantages over long run?
I'm not interested in those one time 50$ gifts that i can recieve with some sites.

Icemonkey9 has some good things to say about them, if I got the link right. After the FPP's, the support is real good too. There are other sites that are just fine to play at, but I think you will find more traffic at Pokerstars to play whatever game you wish, at any time of day.

they dont need rakeback because its the biggest site in the world and they have a ridiculous amount of players and games at all levels. I hate pokerstars though

I installed the pokerstar software and began to play. I didn't get bonus on sites. The pokerstars offer much freerolls and some touneys to earn real money.
You can too affiliate in some forums like cardchats to upgrade your poker and play some freerolls that the site offer to your members.
