How many HUD stats do you use?

I'm starting think I've gone a little overboard w/ my HUD, and now that I multitable often screen real estate is tight. (I use PokerTracker, but this can apply to to Holdem Manager too.)

I'm curious how many stats people display on their HUD not including the ones in the window that pops out when you click the HUD --just the stats you can visibly see at the screen?

Also which ones do you find most useful? What do you think is essential to see easily as you play?

Ooops. Just realized the question cut off the end. I meant how many besides the villain's name?

Why even have the villain's name on there? If you have your Hud set up right, having the villain's name on the hud is pointless.

A while back there was a bug w/ Poker Tracker that made the HUD rotate on the table so that the stats were over the wrong players. I didn't even realize it was doing that until I saw the release notes saying they fixed that bug. Arrrg. I kept it up just in case ... though I suppose I could take the names off now. Maybe it's just me.

My current setup. Bolded what I think are essential:

Name, Hands
VPIP/PFR/AF/A%
3b/F 3b/Steal/F BB to steal
Flop cbet/turn cbet/fold to flop cb/fold to turn cb/flop check-raise

This depends a lot on what you play. Post-flop stats are much more relevant in cash games than SnGs. In general, you're going to need more stats for cash games due to deeper stacks.

Oh yeah, sorry, I should have mentioned I play mostly CASH games right now.

The continuation bet on flop seems a little less useful here because I think the it really takes about a couple of hundred hand before there are enough 3bet opportunities. The stats I mentioned above (maybe w/ the exception of the chk-raise) offer meaningful stats w/ relatively few hands played.

Do you mean the WTSD, W$SD, CO seal, Btn steal, & chk-raise are only for tourneys, or are they part of your cash games HUD.

Cbet flop isn't specific to 3bet pots, doesn't take that long to converge.

I'm looking at a few villain's stats now who I have ~200 hands on, all with a pretty average style (VP$P of around 25, Agr% of 50). They all 3 to 5 cbet opportunities. That seems about right. 200 hands isn't a ton, but I have fewer on most of my opponents. 3 opportunities isn't anywhere near the number to make an accurate evaluation, no?

You're right, 3 opportunities is meaningless (lulz ). You have to be pfr to make a cbet, what's the avg PFR for the avg 25 VPIP? A 25/2 is almost never going to have the opportunity to cbet, a 25/20 should have more than 3 cbet opportunities in 200 hands.

I use around 15 or 14 depending on game type.

Pretty short & sweet, with all the most crucial stats I need for ring play. With a small font this keeps my HUD unobtrusive, and I get the rest of the stats (like per street stats) as needed from the popups.

My tourney stats are similar, but I add M on a separate panel in a larger font, color coded according to Harrington's M zones.

With HEM, the abbreviated name (Abb Name) can be color coded to stack size, therefore it comes in very handy. Now that HEM has added the bb stat it's less useful, but I still use it. Another reason is that some people cover the entire basepod with part of their HUD, obscuring the name. If you have their name on a line along with some other stats, then that's a more practical use for the space occupied by just the original name.

Woah, this sounds very cool. I've been using Poker Tracker & liked it overall a lot better than HEM when i tried it for the trail period. But as far as I know, stats can't be coded for stack sizes in PT ... I don't think. Does anyone else use either & know if this is just something HEM offers?

Not sure. I started with PT2 and PT3 but dumped PT for HEM which I like much better. Don't remember what HUD stats PT supported back then as far as stack size and color coding.

AFAIK Abb Name is the only HEM stat that can be color coded to stack size, other than of course the stack size stats like Big Blinds and M.

I use it for my Tourneys and SnG's but those stats do display in ring games too.
