how i did in a huge 3784 freeroll tonight

so i 14th in a big freeroll tonight, lastnight i finished 20th in a 1900 freeroll. i have no complaints about lastnight but to night i shouldn't have went out the way i did.

i had about 150,000 with the big blind 20,000. i was very short stack and had the tourney chip leader to my right playin table captain bigtime! anyways, with a few limper i raised all in with poket 3 threes. and got called by 2 people, they both had jack squat but i can blame them for callin. i should have just wait to see the flop and hopefully spike trips. if i didnt hit a set i could have waited a few rounds to find a better hand to push with. atleast by then i might have finished a little higher on the ladder. all in all, freerolls are basically for practice and i played well, i thought anyways. oh by the way i won a woppin' $1.83........YAY! thanks absolute poker!!lol

i tried printing the screen and showin everyone the file was too big........

Nice one on 2 places. But freerolls aren't real poker. You get a load of idiots playing, who go all-in and there are a few half-decent players at the end who are wary about their stack but it's not a big achievement.

I believe it actually effects your poker skills and in the future, you may use these skills to play in real money tournaments, knowning it won't work. If you want to become a better player, play small MTTs, sit and gos. The class between them and play money players is alot and you won't get many bad beats either.

yeah i know it not really much of an accomplishment. i play my share of SNG's and ive one my share of money in them too. freerolls can be a good way to pass time anyways and not risk any money. i agree with you when say they can actually be bad for your play in the long run.

I know you all hate freerolls, but when there is money at stake, and an infinite return on investment at that, it is real poker.

Now, it may not be your local gentlemens club poker, nor might it help you win at different tables, But it is closer to the true state of the game toady than most give it credit for.
