How do you clear deposit bonus at Pokerstars? I just withdrew my money from FT and opened an account at Pokerstars. With FT, it's very straightforward how you can earn FT pts (1 pt for $1 in rake). With PS, I am confused how exactly you can earn VPPs. Can someone please explain in plain English, as in how much money in rake equals one VPP? Thanks

$1 paid in FEES = 5 points. So if you play the $1+0.20 SnG's for example, your getting 1 point per game. EDIT: the above is how to earn FPP's (frequent player points). VPP's are what you can spend in the shop, and depend on which 'star' level your at. If you earn 1200 points (FPP's) a month and hit Silver star, VPP's are earned at 1.5 per every 1 FPP you earn. At bronze they are 1 for 1.

VPP's is what you need to earn to clear bonus's. FPP's are what you get based on your multiplier level and are what you can spend. you get 5x the tournament fee in vpp's and 1 VPP per $1 in rake. You can also earn part points if the rake in a hand doesn't reach $1.

re: How do you clear deposit bonus at Pokerstars? Wow, so then it's 1 pt for every $20 pot? If I didn't misunderstand then that's really hard to clear even just $10 if you play low stakes. Do they allow fractional VPPs like FT does with FTP?

I see on the net that PS is supposed to be giving fractional vpps now, but I current have amassed just under 1 full fpp, but my bonus status still says 0 vpp... --- Btw, I must say I like the software lots better than FT"s. So far, 0 bad beats.

Also... You can go into the PokerStars Cashier and click check Pending bonuses to see your progress as you go along and when it expires, etc. Yeah not a bad bonus for how they match you with the money... Just make sure that first deposit is a huge one and also make sure YOU GET RAKEBACK. Anyway... Gonna get back to reading posts, Moe Edit: Sorry I forgot that Pokerstars doesn't offer any rakeback... BOOO... My mind is stuck on FullTilt. Last edited by D'wilius : 11th November 2009 at 2:35 AM. Reason: removed link

re: How do you clear deposit bonus at Pokerstars? Just used some of my points for a tourney and answered my own question about FPP's from a previous post. Whether un registering from a point tourney paid in cash or points... 100 point buy-in for a 36 seat double shootout hyper turbo to the sunday 1/4 million (I think). 5 seats available, so almost all the final table cashed. I qualified, unregistered and was paid 11 tourney dollars. I was quite surprised. On Full Tilt you get a pile of points equivalent to the cash, so I'd expected a couple of thousand points instead, but never mind...all adds to the bankroll. Cheers guys.
