| This is a discussion on How come Bodog, Carbon and others can stay open? within the online poker forums, in the Poker Rooms section; Just curious as to why Bodog and the other sites are open and that the U.S. government only brought charges against the other sites?... |

| My guess is it's how you're able to fund accounts on those 2 sites. I have accounts on PS, Bodog and Carbon. PS was always super easy to fund. Bodog and Carbon both took me a bit get a deposit on there. If I recall it took like a week on Bodog to get money from my checking account to them. It's entirely possible that's whats keeping them out of the eye of the DoJ. Of course who's to say if that'll change. Now one thing I'd lay money is I doubt any heads of the other online poker rooms are going to even come close to setting foot inside the United States!! |

IMO - biggest bang for the buck, but it could be that bo and others have different procedures. Plus that dirtbag Daniel Tzvetkoff probably could only provide info on stars, ap and tilt. That article doesn't say it but I had read he was skimming money for himself from players accounts. |

| re: How come Bodog, Carbon and others can stay open? poker On lock (merge site) I could only get money deposited with use my wallet. Didn't take any of my cards and didn't want to wait for checking. It's also quite possible that the other sites did have illegal activity going on and that is what made them the bigger target for the feds. |

| Bodog is where I play, it better stay open! I'm canadian though, so it shouldn't affect me at all. Although I hope that since pokerstars, and fulltilt shutdown to US players it will attract more players to come play at bodog. We need them! |

| hate to say, but could be just a matter of time ... certainly they decided to target the biggest but the net effect is that it has made everyone in the US fearful of depositing at any site now ... and even if you have money on Bodog, if you are US player, then you're probably debating on how much you want to leave in there at any time this totally suks! |

^^^^^^ This is a more accurate and seemly correct answer to the OP. Also Sportsbook is another one. You most likely will never see these sites go anywhere. |
