home vs casino

which do you prefer? home games or playin at a casino? personally i like both but i feel alot more comfortable at home games. usually because i play with all friends. but every once in awhile we get some guys that try to cheat and that results in a huge fight or a huge beating... the thing i like about casinos is i dun feel too bad about taking their money =P

I don't like casinos as much, just for the fact that the rake can take a chunk of your winnings. Say 5 of your buddies all take $200 to the casino and play for 4-5 hours. You may come out ahead but I bet you collectively just donated about $100-$150 to the casino in the rake. If you did the same thing at home (the rake), and spent the money improving your poker room at least then your friends would see a difference.

I do like casino run tournaments, they can seperate out junk that can happen and it lets you play against a ton of new people in a controlled setting. I have tried to run small tournaments out of my house and people just don't repect them. They will argue about who should move tables or how to pass the button, stupid stuff.

Casinos are too strict with their rules. In home games, you can set your own rules and you're more comfortable with the players you are playing against becuase it's mostly friends. Plus, you can eat while you play. In casinos, they are constantly looking at you and it makes you a little nervous.

I like home better than casino. Maybe it's just the feeling of playing in your own home. Who knows...
