Home Game tourneys i play alot of home games at my friends' houses i find way more success at these games than at online SnGs in which i win prob. about 60% of the tourneys i enter we usually play 5$ buy in with 4-5 players ive been winning prob. over 90% of the games; not that my friends are bad, i just understand how to dominate them one of them is really, really agressive ( calling 5X blind bets with hands like 10 3 os ) the other is solid, and the others just have the most readable tells most recent win was calling shortstack's all in (JJ) with a 10 9 suited i called cause i had more than 90% of the chips in the game and just had a gut feeling caught 10 on flop and another on turn to eliminate him anybody else play home SnGs regularly? share your experiences

Home SNG's are a great way to practice your basic skills of reading your opponents and making basic calculations without risking a lot of money. I usually cash in a home tournament (9 or less players) about 75% of the time. I might not win...luck happens sometimes...but I play solid enough consistently to build a bankroll.

I like playing home games with friends, but I've found that a lot of the players at these home games will call with absolutely anything, and can't be chased off a pot -- so you often have to race to the river. Which, as you know, can turn out badly, even if you do have the best hand pre-flop and post-flop. But it's a good chance to socialize as well.
