Have you tried Betfair

Has anyone else tried the new Betfair software.

They divorced themselves from the Cryptologic network today and started using their own in-house software.

I tried a freeroll, just to see what it was like. Seemed to me a good contender for ugliest poker room on the internet, but I`d be interested to hear what others think.

Haven't tried them in particular. They were banning US players. Do you know if they are now allowing US players since they split and changed software?

I think not, JD, although I waded through pages of their terms of use and couldn`t find it actually mentioned.

Like a lot of the big gaming companies (Party, William Hill, Victor Chandler etc.) they have a highly respectable profile in the UK. They hold the Queen`s Award for Enterprise. It`s very difficult for corporations like that to risk their reputation by getting prosecuted in the US, although I guess we`d all like to see them tell Bush and Company to go to the hot place.

My USB stick doesn't seem to work! No installation instructions come up, no Betfair client downloads and I can't transfer data. What can I do?

I had no instructions, just loaded it up. Depends what processor you have, my laptop took a while to load up, and that's 3 weeks old, running a 1.8Gig?

Did you warm it up properly ?

Since you did not have instructions, you`re probably not aware that you have to insert it up your right nostril for at least two hours before use.
