Half way through a tourny!

Well currently playing the Warwick Student Series of Poker. Blinds started 25-25 and starting stack was 10,000 with 45 min levels!

At levels 150/300 and i'm down to 8000 avg on my table is prob about 15 to 20k!

Got a maniac to my right so great pos for me! Havent made any mistakes and a few good players.

When we start again there's going to be a redraw for seats! It starts again tomorrow morning!

Guess its find a good hand, raise and flop push for me now?

You've still got 25+ BB. Not time to panic yet.

There's plenty of time to pick your spots in a structure this slow.

When you make a move be decisive but don't rush to get into all in or fold mode.

lol when I posted play on Day 1 had finished

Day 2 starts tomorrow morning at 10:30am! I'll post on here when I'm home just to let you know!

Its a great slow structure. The re-draw on day 2 is going to help me a LOT as i have an awfully tight image now lol! So hopefully with a whole new table and some fresh cards I can take some pots down!

Problem is the only time i was getting nice hands to call or steal with, There was a lot of action before me from aggro's

Hmm I know its not push or fold! I've easily got at least one more 3 * BB raise before it'd be that time... but I just hope I get something!

The guy on my right today showed AA, AA, AA, KK, KK, QQ, AK and then sets etc...

Today (no lie) my best hand was AT off or KQ off... not one Pocket pair over 55 and nothing like AK or AQ. Had AJ once but raise and reraise before me lol!!!!

This was in about 6 hours of play believe it or not

Well with 71 at start of play I was knocked out at about 35th!

I would love someone to work out the odds of this though.

Not ONE premium hand (JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK or AQ) in 2 days of play
UNTIL

5 hours into day 2 whereby I get QQ and meet AA and lose

Anyway I played an amazing game. Started on 8. Got to 25k wen blinds were still low by stealing and a race with TT...

However when you don't get ANY premium cards, and your marginal ones are in first position or you see rasises/reraises before you, there's not much anyone can do!

HOWEVER

One guy was playing called David Lu. Best student player in the UK and I outplayed him on a flop Bluffed with A high.. found out he had 22 on a KT74 board!

So I think I played a great game. No errors, outplayed the best player in the UK student wise, and lost with a premium! Not a bad days work. I dealt for a side game (£5 rebuy) and got tipped £15 by the winner so all is good for a student
