habits while playing

I have a few habits when im playing online. I have a stack of chips and listen to music. what does every one else do. sorry if this is a stupid post but im new here

Same here, I play around with 10 chips and have a special poker playlist that gets me in the mood. I tried to without the chips and couldn't focus good without them for some reason. Oh and another tendecy I have is I have hot flashes and curse at the monitor but that's a different story.

Glad I'm not the only one
My family thinks I'm crazy; sitting in my basement playing poker with most of my free time, and all they hear is chips shuffling nonstop lol
I think I've got a certain type of ADD, but either way it's a habit for me - I always have to have something to mess around with. It's extreeeemely annoying for others

Phew. I knew I wasnt the only crazy one. I didnt mention playing with chips while playing in another post because I thought it would sound stupid, but I am glad I am not the only one. I do find though the chips in front of you to play around with help you focus better for a long session or tourney. I dont know why, but they help.

During the early parts of a SNG/MTT I usually try to keep my mind busy by watching a movie or some sort of media on the computer. Once it gets late in the game, I just turn everything off and try to pay full attention. I tried shuffling chips when I play but my desk is just too crap of a surface to shuffle.

I usually watch TV when I'm playing cash games because I end up folding a lot of hands pre-flop. I'll listen to music (when I'm at work ). For tournaments I actually pay close attention because I find the better players participate and you need to get as much of a "read" on them as possible.

usually watching a movie or tv, just for background noise. sometimes will listen to music or surf the net well occassionally shouting and cursing at the monitor.. but thats just me
