Got screwed out of rakeback

Last month I signed up for a rakeback account through another forum. I was told all I had to do was click their link that said "Click here to register and receive 30% rakeback". After a month, I had not gotten any rakeback, so I contacted support. After some investigation, they told me that I must have navigated away from the sign up page (I think I was looking for a bonus code at the forum) , then came back. Because I did this, I was not eligible for a rakeback account, and there was nothing they could do! I think this is BS. Just a word to the wise, don't do what I did!

Contact ur poker room and ask them to sign u up for rakeback. See what they say mate. Thats what many ppl have said about FTP. I e-mailed them a while ago asking to sign me up and there looking into it, but nothing yet. I know it can take a while but im patient.

Did you clear your cookies before downloading the software from that link? If you've visited another forum or site that offers that particular poker room for download, you could have been tagged by a cookie from that site instead of the one you thought you were downloading from. That's why most sites tell you to clear your cookies and such before downloading, both so you get the rakeback or other promotion they are offering and they get a cut of your rake and/or a fee for bringing you to the poker room.

Yes, I cleared my cookies. I did talk to the poker room by email. They said there was nothing they could do. I find that hard to believe, but whatever. I made the minimum deposit of $20, cleared my 100% bonus, then withdrew $80. They can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. They could have had me as a regular, but denying rakeback on a technicality just tells me what kind of room it is.
By the way, the rake was 8% on cash tables, not the usual 5%, so any rakeback would just be maybe breaking even anyway. I just joined for the private forum freerolls, and that's all I'll play from now on.

Thanks for the info.
8% So does that mean other players from other clients on the same network, without rakeback, actually pay less or quassi the same?
Or is it 8% on the whole of everleaf?

You would think those little crap rooms would be smart enough to correct such a stupid mistake. If I were you and they could not fix this small problem, I would have zero confidence in them to run the entire poker room properly.

First off when you created your account you were not linked to any forum. but the other 140 members who did use the banner to sign up were? Second off why wait 2 months not a month as you stated to find out about rakeback after you created your account knowing rakeback was paid weekly? Lastly you have 3 chances to get rakeback and keep in mind this is all pre designed software that makes it possible to get 3 tries. First option is banner sign up. If you don't use a banner then there is the second option of adding the rb code on the sign up page. Third is when you deposit you use the rb sign up code. I think your biggest error was waiting 2 months not asking anyone about this. Then you find the need to post this thread about as you call it a bs site but yet every day you continue to play on it?

so many US players are leaving FT because of this kind of BS. Personally i'd rather recommend players go to somewhere like the Merge Network to play. You can get sign up bonuses that equal 83% back and then go onto 40% pure rakeback. The customer service at the site i deal with is absolutely first class too.

Okay, I assume you are the owner of FullRush Poker, given your name on this post? I am far from a computer genius. One thing I have learned, though, is about cookies. When I clicked "Click here now to register and receive 30% rakeback", there should have been a path created right there. End of story.
Like you said in your reply to my email, I must have navigated away and then back to the registration page. This is probably correct, but I was under the false assumption that I was signed up for rakeback ever since. After clicking the banner, I think I went back to the forum to look for a code, but couldn't find one. I posted on the forum asking for a code, and the administrator replied that I didn't need a code if I had clicked the banner. As far as I was concerned, I was good to go.
Why would I worry about entering a code when I deposited? I had already clicked the banner.
You are mistaken that I knew rakeback was paid weekly. I have never had a rakeback account anywhere. After a month I started to wonder, so I made a post on the forum asking about it. One reply was that they thought you had to have made a deposit to receive rakeback. That made sense to me, so I deposited.
What this boils down to is I got screwed out of rakeback on a technicality. Whether it was my mistake or not, you are telling me that there is nothing you can do. Really? I guess nothing can be done manually these days if the computer says so. That is a sad state of affairs.

There was a path created when you clicked the banner so you are correct end of story there. I also stated that that 140 others who used the banner are receiving their rake back because they followed the path. I just can't fathom why you waited 2 months to contact the poker room to find out why you were not receiving rake back? I understand you have never received or been offered rake back before that is completely understandable. You must have done some research though to see what rake back was on poker rooms and how most rooms paid it correct? To wait 2 months and continuously play and not once contact the poker room was your first mistake and believe me you are not the first to have this issue. I do think bashing the room as you have done from forum to forum is a bit uncalled for in my opinion. The forum you signed up through did bring this to frp's attention but again it was not until 2 months after you created your account because you waited 2 months to tell them as well. Rather than sit here and keep going back and forth I believe I do have a resolution to this issue so please contact me through the poker room and I will go over this with you. Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind of sad that you run your own professional site and act this way. Let's look at your reply here you refer to a very nice person that being FearFactor as someone who made such a stupid mistake? Classy move there Wec. The rooms is doing just fine and continues to do just fine so your " I would have zero confidence in them to run the entire poker room properly" has no merit. You jump on one persons side and feel like your the pro here with all the answers? Poker room operators love people like you lol.

I think it's kinda weird that someone that works for(owns whatever) the poker site would come to a forum to argue with a player. If I was in the right then I wouldn't worry about it and I sure wouldn't come and post on a forum. I've played at the site and never really cared for it. I got some friends that play there and they seem to like it. Just looks old to me.

I received this email from Full Rush today. I am glad this has been worked out. I apologize for any mistakes that were made on my part, and props to Full Rush for eventually making things right.

Hello Thomas,

Unfortunately I believe there was some confusion over rakeback.
I have spoken with the manager and he has asked me to inform you that you have now been added to the Fullrush 30% rakeback plan which is paid weekly every Monday (up till Wednesday)
I apologise for the misunderstanding and thank you for choosing Fullrushpoker.com
Good luck at your tables and please do not hesitate to email me back if you require any further assistance.

Kind regards,

Michelle
