| Going to Atlantic City tomorrow... Planning a quick trip to Atlantic City tomorrow, I've only gone once before, and only played a little at a $1/$2 Nl table at Caesar's, but this time I was thinking of looking for a small buy-in sit and go, anyone know of any casino that might run them regularly throughout the day? |

| Personally experienced players? What do other people like to do? I'm going with only about $140 (trying to limit myself just in case I don't do well) Should I try for low limit tourneys, including but not neccesarily limited to sit and gos, or should I just try to play low-limit table games nl 1/2 or 2/4? The problem I ran into last time with that was I tried only cashing about $30 in chips when I sat down which put me short stack to begin with! I figure the sit and go would at least give me a decent chance starting with equal chips. |

| re: Going to Atlantic City tomorrow... poker Thanks everyone, actually, I played a 50/15 tourney at the Trop, made a stupid mistake that took me out right after first break, got dealt a 8cJc, only looked at it preflop, flop came down with two 9s and a 3, I thought I had a 9, so I pushed a big raise, opponent actually had 9,3 pushed me back, so I of course went all-in, after I turned my cards over I realized the dumb move, I always recheck my cards, you'd think eventually I'd quit playing without checking, but I know, it happens to everyone now and then. Afterwards wound up at Borgatta played the cheap NL table for a couple hours, lost about $40 there, came home and played my Tuesday night freeroll at the local bar, came in 5th. All in all, fun day full of poker, no major losses, thats all that matters, theres always next time. |

*edit* oops- I see that I'm late to the party. Well, maybe someone else can use the suggestion. |
