Going to Atlantic City

I am going to AC in a few weeks and will be playing Poker there live for the first time ever.

I was wondering what advice you all can offer me for playing in the tournaments there. I am staying at Harrah's and they have a midnight turbo for 58+12 they also have 40+10 STT SnGs but these appear to only pay 1st place????

I guess my questions are...should I play in these games and if so what should my strategy be. I am pretty much online only except for the occasional home game and points poker league that I play in.

Harrah's is not on the strip, right? If you wanna meet up, lemme know. You're not gonna play NLHE, are ya? My sister & her BF go to Harrahs all the time. He plays 3 card poker. Anyway, there's a bus 2 blocks from my house but it goes to the Tropicana - I think Tues, Wed, Fri & Sun, but I'll check.

I hope to play some Omaha too while I am there. I am gonna be there for two days and will be with my Wife, Mother and two daughters. if you can handle all of that and still want to meet up le me know....lol

I'd just be there with my boyfriend, so we could all swap stories. But we'd probably have to hop a jitney to Harrahs as opposed to you dragging the whole family. So maybe not. hehehe You driving? I still got a couple tickets I have to cash in = Trop & Ballys I think.

There's lots of AC information on 2+2 under 'Brick & Mortar'. They seem to play alot at AC over there. Hope this helps dude!!

Have a great time haven't been to AC in 3 years, play tight and don't see too many flops before first break and of course start stealing blinds when they start to climb. Good luck and may the cards be with you.

There will be some time (hopefully) where it will be just my wife and I. I will send you a PM and we can trade info if you think you are going to be able to make it on the days we will be there.

best time to go in when there is a holiday monday (3 day weekends) way more traffi cfor tournaments. But be sure to check out borgota also alot of schedules can be found in issues of BLUFF magazine.

The Borgata is one of the best run poker rooms in the entire country. It's where I play and it's probably the best shot you have at finding an Omaha game.

SnG's are pretty soft live, but the blind structures usually play like a turbo/crap shoot.

Lik is undoubtably right. The Borgata is a god, totally huge. Again, it's off the beach, so I don't go there. Butr it's got a huge poker rrom. possibly even softer tham Harrah's as the Borgata is new and and oh too cool.
