This is so true. I can't believe some people are still convincing themselves that some of these sites are rigged. They also forget that in an average session you see alot more hands online than you would in a live game..and then they say online you see more weird hands...doh! thats because you see more hands, period.

I think we also tend to notice the bad beats alot more than anything else, so it seems like it is happening all the time. Best way to avoid it is to stay away from the cheap tables.

Online we have no ones eyes to look into for that sliver of empathy when we suffer those nasty beats. Long ago I realized that the online poker places would not allow manipulation. It would serve no one. They make so much money playing honest games why would anything be rigged?

That said, I do often feel that the hand distributions on each site vary a bit. Perhaps I do not have a big enough vision, and to get every site equal I will need to see millions of more hands. Even at .0001 cent per hand, I better get to winning.

Something else that I think the riggers should think about.

If you watch a 2 hour poker program on tv, quite a bit of the show are hands where the person who is in the lead PF loses by the end of the hand.

That's 2 hours of bad beats, suckouts and the like...out of a 10 or 12 hour play day.

I just laugh when people say it's rigged. I have a friend who thinks everytime he loses the game is rigged. He loses alot so I hear it from him alot. The thing that bugs me the most about online poker is I seem to get the same hand a few times in a row alot.

I always like to say the game is rigged to see who will agree with me. Then I know they expect to lose so its easier to take their money.

Sorry, but I definitely suspect something....

Yeah... yeah... why would an online company cheat??? Maybe you are all looking at the wrong people! I swear I was running over this guy at a table so bad that when we went to break <A couple of my buddies witnessed this!>, he was spotted passing ram <that underground hardcore street stuff> to the server. Now it's speculation from here, but I'm under the impression that he made a few deals with the RNG cause as soon as we get back from break.... yep you guessed it. THE COLDEST VIRTUAL DECK IN HISTORY!!! I mean I was getting ALL the championship hands AND LOSING?!?!? I mean sheesh! I get my Super Ultra Deluxe Unabomber cracked by queens, My Doyle Brunson ran down by J10o, my Super Ultra Deluxe Persian Carpet Ride got the dust beat out of it by AJs, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST I FINALLY TRAP THIS DONKEY WITH THE BEST HAND HAND IN HOLD EM PERIOD! Guess what.... oh yeah we already know from the rest of this post how bad it is. I got my world class champion of the universe hand < 9 9 for you noobs> cracked by ACES??? Who even EVER wins with aces online?!?!?! RIGGED I TELL YOUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuu.....cough..cough....

The bad beats that we see on T.V. are a concentrate over the whole tournament, but they are also most of the allin or big money pots. There are many many more that go on that we don't see about. I dont think online is much different than live. But I do notice that I get the same hand in a row quite few times too.

terrible how people think sites are rigged...i'm pretty sure the programmers of the software are like...lets let acespade2344353(common now) win today...if it were rigged...u would see the same winners everytime in the freerolls...do you? no..you dont...please..lets stop the fiasco's...drink some beer...and play some poker and win some money....also..how do we get these damn passwords

later people...hopefully the creators decide to let the "rigging" come to me soon

And if you ever notice, the people who whine and complain, are the first ones in the next tournament. If they really felt that it is rigged (which it is NOT), they would have nothing to do with it. Just a bunch of whiners, they are.

This is so obvious that you don't even need my patented rigometer to detect the rigged sites.

Just remember: the site is only rigged if I lose there, otherwise it's full of moaners because my immense skill has prevailed.

Hope this helps,

I always find it funny when people say the sites are rigged, and I'm glad none of you guys take it seriously. I work for an online poker company and I can 100% say that it is not in the interest of any site to be anything but fair. It is only natural for people to concentrate on the bad beats while forgetting the times their 2 outter hit on the river! For the record I went out twice today in the bubble on MTTs... them bad beats are like busses, they always come in pairs.

OK Bombjaxx now I've finally met an insider. If you see my name on your site then can you change my profile flag to "No" - Don't look puzzled, it's the Site_Rigged_YN flag. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is rigged, but different online sites use different algorithms and sometimes weird things happen.. it is still random though. I know last night at Pokerstars i was popping up Aces all night and I still lost..

I think it's rigged every time I lose.
I think the lottery is rigged.
I think horseracing is rigged.
I think boxing is rigged
Political elections are most definitely rigged.
Hell, this forum might even be rigged.
