Fulltilt vs Pokerstars

So these appear to be the two biggest sites for U.S. players (please correct me if i am wrong). I have been playing both - minor wins at fulltilt, havnt really played that much at pokerstars. But i was wondering which of the two you guys think is better...im about to make a big deposit

Thanks!

Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt Poker is the poker site the pro's play at. US players are welcome - use Full Tilt Poker referral code CARDSCHAT for a $600 bonus.

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best sites to play online poker. They accept US players & using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

I prefer full tilt poker, i feel that the blind structures in the sng tournaments are much better than pokerstars and I also prefer tournaments with fewer people at lower limits. With the high volume of players at pokerstars almost every tournament has 1000 people making it a very difficult and long tournament. I guess its just a matter of personal preference, both sites have good customer service. If your gonna deposit money into full tilt poker make sure you get a referral from a friend and to sign up for raketherake (something i regret not doing). Good luck.

Both have large volumes of players as well as good tournament and cash game selections at all limits.

The competition at Stars can be tougher, but if you're an SNG player they do have a better blind structure (for non-turbos 10-minute levels starting at 10/20 vs. Full Tilt's 6-minute levels starting at 15/30). Even their turbos have a slower structure than Tilt's (5-minute levels vs. 3-minute levels).

That said, I play far more on Full Tilt than I do on Stars, mostly NLHE tournaments and stud cash games. Might have something to do with the fact that I have a much bigger bankroll there.

i must say i really like the fulltilt sngs for some reason and their interface. i started at fulltilt so it was weird going to pokerstars. but i feel that the cash games at pokerstars have somewhat a better ring game feel (just me?). still deciding lol but thanks...hope more keep coming!

fwiw, the sng structures are pretty comparable (in fact, almost identical): one isn't "much better" than the other (they both suck, imo, I would only play the deepstack sngs on FT- $5+ only as the rake is redonkulous otherwise). FT's MTT is slightly better than PS's MTT strucutre.

I felt more comfortable with the lobby and layout of Full Tilt. But that just could be because it was my first site. But when I tried out other sites I felt the same way.

I agree that the competition on Full tilt seems easier, especially in SnG's.

Pokerstars. I prefer the way pokerstars plays (chips into pot action etc) and I hate the avatars at Tilt. I do like some things about Full Tilt, its really only the lowest stakes ($1 buyin and .05/.10 ring) that have the "redonkulous" rake. I was pleasantly surprised to see deepstacks at some micro Full Tilt sng, that's not offered until $5 tournaments at Stars...and there are more blind levels at Full Tilt.

I like both sites and have had some success at both. I have made money in the ring games at pokerstars and done better at the tournaments on fulltilt. Just depends on your playing style i guess.

PokerStars is better then fulltilt because on PS are always over 70k players online, a lots of freerols whit big Prize pool and because on pokerstars you have a chance to become a milionare.

Example 10-1 buy-in for a satelit tournament first 50 will be qualified in 500000 guaranteed

FullTilt

I have to say that Fulltilt has to be the better site of the two you are asking. To tell you the truth Fulltilt is the best site around. There are all the pros that play there and they always have something going on. It is the most recognized site. If you are going to make a big deposit I would definately recommend Fulltilt.

I think it depends on where you are comfortable. I do not like the layout at pokerstars and really do not like all the pic uploads of people. Theres a few design features I do not like at pokerstars but Fulltilt is behind in terms of options for players with games.

As a sidenote, partypoker has great step tournaments and their shootouts where top 3 advance from each table is great. Fulltilt has neither of these. Stars at least has steps but anyone who can play on party poker really should IMO.

i love full tilt

full tilt is absolutely the best site out there. tournaments are great and the structure of the tournaments cant be beat, other than on Ultimatebet which has a similar structure, but obviousely the software is the best on full tilt. ive cashed out several times from full tilt and never takes long and always reliable. cant beat it... number 2 site would be bodog for me.

Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker are
sites are 2 more reliable, serious, and I know great game and regularly in real money.
I prefer playing at full tilt poker because it is more fun, more organized in relationship
the classified temporarily during any part of the game.
I recommend and guide PokerStars and Full tilt poker to all my friends.

I've only deposited on Poker Stars so I can't speak to the cash play at full-tilt. But I have heard that the competition is a little easier. Maybe the grass is greener on the other side.

I have watched some tourneys and played some freerolls at Full Tilt. I prefer Full-tilt's layout - much easier on the eyes and constitution. I may be making a deposit soon...

As for the post about the avatars suckin at full-tilt - I believe you can turn those off...

Pokerstars is the best it has the best freerolls and just overall it has huge tables with lots of people online...there are lots of people but there are also lots of placings in there tournaments....that site i think is better for that reason right there... but that is just my opinion i guess...but it is a good opinion

nearly equal

I started on Full Tilt, so I tend to be a little more comfortable with their format. As a small SNG player I find the competition a little weaker on Full Tilt, but definitely lose to more suckouts there. Pokerstars seems to have a bit more skilled players, and I find it easier to play against them, rather than someone that you can't put on a hand.
