FullTilt Play Chips

I have been playing fulltilt for a while, but I always play in play chips
I managed to win a lot of tournaments, but not a lot of them got me much chips.
Now, I just finished playing and I have over 1.2 Mil in chips

I am wondering should I go for the 500K play chip $40 freeroll (payouts : 1st-$5 2nd -$3 3-18 - $2) The field generally has only 30-50 players.

Could I also sell my chips? if so, what websites and how much?

First off, welcome to the site. CC is the best around and you will learn a lot to help you improve your game. You can find people who will buy ft chips typically $5 per million. However, it is illegal so if you get caught you will get banned. Do a google search and see what comes up in terms of selling them. Im pretty sure that most sites will only buy from you if you have at least 5mil. I would recommend playing in the tournament. The field usually has a few decent players, but if you play tight aggressive you should be able to cash in it.

If you can turn play chips into actual money, go for it.

Also going back to what ihtennis said, I know people do sell their play chips on a well known Internet auction site

But again, it's for the max amount you can have usually.

you may as well. im not aware of FT playchips have any kind of trade-for-cash aftermarket the way the PS ones do. and this sounds like a good small-field event.

Welcome to cc im sure you will find it as welcoming as I have, it may well be worth having a shot at that freeroll or if you are looking to take the game seriously it may well be worth making a deposit im sure you will find all the advice needed to improve your game here, read up in bank roll management if you make a deposit it will serve you well. Playing the 500k tourney has help me make a Bankroll on FT. and it did not cost me nothing to begin, but play chips which they give you.

Ahg I always get around 200K in play chips then donk them off somehow, impatience i think. The play chip tourney looks really easy though i think they cash in less than an hour lol...

maybe a dozen times or so when i've been mega-drunk, and didn't want to quit playing but decided maybe it would be better to play for fake...and i'd just 6-table play money sng's. i don't remember what i have, its somewhere around 120thou in play chips now. i try to remember every time i get wasted, that's what i should do if i wanna play...so i can eventually get into that 500K buy-in. didn't seem like it took at that much time or effort to get what i have thus far.

so you got like 2 buy-ins to the 500K, which is probably what i'd suggest. why not grind out a bunch of sng sessions multi-table and get yourself a bunch more buy-ins to it first?

IHtennis is right...im a newbie as well and i have learned a great deal from this site.I also play at fulltilt but i belive you should try thier daily freerolls for real cash.They have about 15 diffrent freerolls everyday+ certain sites like this one offers freerolls regularly for those members that qualify.I haven't made it just yet but all you have to do is submit 65 quality posts.Good luck and welcome to cc

The fulltilt freerolls are fine but they get 1000's of people. Take the 500m and enter the tourney-much better chance to cash. Also if you don't know full tilt has a daily freeoll(turbo) to the daily dollar touney that pays the top 200 or so(been awhile since I played it) and you should be able to cash in it after a few trys as people don't seem to know how to play it.

How do you play it??? I've asked before but most people tell me to get my chips in with the best hand i can... i really do try to, but honestly it seems impossible. If I try and stay tight early and maybe double up once, i still become shortstacked and unable to steal to even break into 1,000 chip range, and people who just bingo'd their way to 2000-3000 stacks and above just call me down... :/ its frustrating since this and the ferguson are the shortest freerolls around and I'd like to capitalize on that...

I would try the tourney, it sounds like you have a good foundation to play good in this. I have only heard bad things about selling full tilt chips. Poker stars is a little different. Good luck in what you decide to do.

id recommend going for the 500K tournaments

First, this is a short stack turbo. You start with 300 chips and blinds go up every 5 min.

As I said, it will take a few trys as there is a big luck factor in the beginning with this structure. In the beginning, do as people have told you-get it in with the best hand you can. If you lose-so what- try again tomorrow. You HAVE to get chips early. There is no playing tight early. When you do get chips beat the H#ll out of any short stack as they will have to push a wide range. As you even said people are 'bingo' playing -why-cause they have a stack to do it with. They can withstand to lose the hand- you can't. They are trying to collect as many chip as possible to survive. This is what you need to do.
Once you have a good stack keep a eye on where you are at in the tourney. People are dropping like flys. The biggest problem now is to know when to shut it down. People in this tourney that have big stacks keep playing when they should just stop. If you do get a big stack you will also have to then tighten up and let the shortys and the mid stacks and idiots with big stacks fight it out. Just keep an eye out for where you are at in the tourney and make adjustments as needed. Don't overplay at the end if you have a big stack. Remember-you are not trying to take 1st place as 200th place pays the same.

you should definately play in the freeroll only less than half your play chips and i would take any chance i could to win real money for free, great chance!

id do the 500k tourney, did those awhile ago and its your best way to use play chips.

I think that you should play the play chip $500,000 freeroll. I've looked at it and their is usually only 65-70 people in it and pays out the top 18. With 2 buy-ins you should easily be able to cash at least once.

I would just use them in the 40$ freeroll or to make more.i wouldnt sell them for 5$ a mill.

It should show up along with a 1m chip MTT.

How can you transfer play chips ( or real cash ) from one player to another ?
I've read here that it is illegal, so they don't provide any means for transferring play chips ?

I also have a lot of chips and when I can't sleep I try the 500k tournament. until now 2 wins of 2$ in 3 games and it took about 1.5 hours. So better than I reach in the 0.01/0.02 cash tables.

It's fun playing in play-chip tournament with 80-100 players and getting rewarded in cash ...
