I heard from somewhere that on full tilt you can cash in a high amount of play chips (500k or something like that) for $40?? does anyone know anything about this???

Hadn't heard about the chips for money thing on F/T, but I did see a notice on the internet where they would give you 10 dollars for ten million P/S's chips.. It was only about a year ago too.

Prices have gone down I see. About 2 years ago I sold a single million on PS for 10 bucks.

I think that might have been far enough back when you could only rebuy twice every 2 hours or so.

seems like this might be a giant waste of time. You'd save more time just working a couple of extra hours for some overtime or selling something you don't need and depositing that money and running it up. Of course if your only want is to have fun than by all means play on. Although I will invite you to play up with the real money players anytime.

I think play chips altogether is a waste of time. Especially trying to earn 500k, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard, but it sure wouldn't take just 5 minutes to do.

And if you bought into that tourney and lost, then that was a giant waste of time winning that 500k. I never play with play chips for that very reason, it's a waste of time.

Yep. Just think about how big of idiots people are playing with play chips, think about all in every hand. It's definitely not fun to play with play chips, it's very boring and no strategy is involved at all. It's ridiculous.

I actually don't bluff often. Hardly ever do I bluff, I probably should though, I think I'm TOO tight of a player.

And the reason I like to treat every penny like it's more than that is because I am more careful with it and when I am careful I tend to win more.

It would take alot of time to get 500k, then when u do get it and decide to try to win $5 max in a freeroll and you lose, that would be a waste of time.

ha yea once was up to over a mil in chips...played 500k and blew it and havent played play chips in like forever...donked the rest of my chips and never looked back...but i do play around once in awhile..maybe I may take a break from real and use play because im on SUPER TIIIIIIIIIIIIILT

Playing for play chips sucks. If you have real money, then I don't see why you would play play chips unless maybe your on tilt and you need to blow some steam. If you don't then I guess go for it, but it doesn't really seem worth it. Your better off just playing the CC freerolls.

Yes, but there is no disadvantage when playing with play chips, people are much more careful playing for real money. When people play with play chips, they make idiot moves and they don't care if they win/lose.

slow roll poker..i accept that...cus sometimes when i was playing playing play chip i was doing stupid moves with other idiots

between the cards chat freeroll and the 500k(playchips) $40 freeroll. I've managed quite a good bankroll. i'd try to get over 5million chips and buy in for the playchip freeroll for anything over that amount. top 18 players get paid and when i played it only about 60 or so players played it. 3rd-18th get $2 so it's more important to try to cash than win. it's true people play like idiots with playchips but not at the higher stakes games there they turn inot the biggest nits ever. also the step playchip SNGs are a great way to learn SNGs and still be able to make millions of playchips. IMO a winning SNG strategy will be a winning strategy whether it be playchips or real money.
