I'm curious to see how many people they get. I think they will be very hard pressed to beat the Pokerstars one last December that had 35,000 people. <Shameless plug, look at my sig below..>

I just qualified in a .25c rebuy tourney. Cost me .75c. I figured this might be the cheapest way in. These satellites just started today and you can get in real cheap even use your FT points. They will fill up real quick over the next few days. So get in cheap ![]()

Did you all note that in the tournament description it says "seating will take 15 minutes". So, if you get on for this and aren't seated right away, just wait. I think it took 5 minutes or so to seat the people in the 20k freeroll. I don't remember the PS 35000 player event taking that long to seat. I'll play in this, I mean I'll play in any $5 entry tournament where they are going to add $250,000 to the prize pool.

Won a satellite to The Record Breaker Bubbled in the Freeroll yesterday and was hoping there'd be another today, but I didn't see one, so I tried a satty. A little late night for me, have work tomorrow, but glad I stayed up to ensure the win. Not sure now if I should redeem for 5 bucks, or if I should play The Record Breaker and try to catapult my BR further :S And to make this even better, while I was playing the satty, I was at a 2NL ring game and I brought my ingame total up to 8 bucks hehe. Makes up for the 2 I lost before and the 1.25 I lost in a SNG. ![]()

It may be interesting to see if FT's servers will even be able to handle that kind of traffic. Stars was concerned that their 35k player attempt was pushing the limits of their servers. I'll be surprised if FT's survives without a major crash. Won't be hard for Stars to pull off a larger monster than that since the pic above shows that Stars already surpassed 50k without it even being a 'record' attempt with 53k+ in a FREEROLL. Quote:

As for the donkfestiness (gosh my spell checker doesn't like that word) of the event, I suspect a lot of all ins early with nothing in the hands. In a way it's probably the best way to play one of these events. I mean who wants to be sitting there after an hour with the same starting stack? |
