use them to play in sat entry tourneys unless you see something you like in the fulltilt store atm they are holding 10ftp or 10c tourneys that are also a good idea to building up some cash

ya and actually on that note, I like the 90point sng's to the midnight madness...I finished 2nd in 2 out of the 3 that I played....unfortunately 2nd gets you zilch. But ya point is...satty's are the way to go...thousands of points for a 3 dollar stress ball shaped like a cartoon guy??? Come on full tilt...

Hahaha, agreed. It takes way too many points to get anything decent. I'd much rather put it into possibly making more monies.

50 pt sng's for the daily dollar.....pay entry for top 2 and 3rd gets their 50 pts back. Pretty easy to cash......I was 4 for 5 today, 2 entrys, 2 3rd's, 1 donk shove first hand lol. If you dont want to play the dollar you can cash out but you get 200 pts not a dollar.

dont buy anything from the full tilt store. use them for satellites and the smaller buy in tourneys. its a good way to add a little extra cash to your bankroll.

Using them for the buy-in of tournies is by far the best use of your points

one million ftp's can go a long way. using them on a custom avatar is a bit of stretch in my opinion. one million can get you so much, even from the store. a 52 inch plasma is 375k. you can play in satellites for the rest of your life with one million. sorry for the rant, got a little carried away......

FTP?

I agree Sats are the way to go. But wait till you get a decent amount and then play one of the better Sats. think the 20 fpp's are just throwing away the points unless you are lucky. everyone i played reminded me of a freeroll with the bad players getting lucky.

nice 'rant'.......you make this guy look rabid....

Also, clearly I wasn't joking about spending 1,000,000 ftp's on an avatar either, so I'm glad you called me out....I will reconsider

That makes two of us. I gotta check this out. I used the points for the daily dollar satellite when I only had a few minutes to spare. Those usually go by really fast.

A lot of people prefer to use them in the FTP satellites but those generally only pay out 1st out of 90+ so generally its going to be a waste...
good practice though to help familiarize yourself with online poker though while still staking something
I personally spent mine at the FTP store and it was hassle free... 4 weeks later I got it...
Its up to you in the end though... although I would suggest getting the bear... keeps me company during those excessively long games...

...My preference would br the 200ftp for the daily dollar...I dont think the quality is good in this...
just curious..one thing I think would be great for full tilt..if you could play kinda cash game ,but with full tilt points.like they have play chips..i think it would make it more intersting to play like the 180sng games..anyone agree?

I'd say the Daily Dollar or save em up for an ftops event. I've done both and turned them into cash. I agree the dink tourneys are a waste of time and ftp points - too much luck required to bank consistently with those.

Personally I think the majority of the FTP satellites are a waste of pts.... most of them are 'winner-take-all' and the play is pretty sick at best.

If you're getting rakeback, using your FTP's will not be saving you any money (ie. some tournaments can be bought in for using FTP's.. ie. the MiniFTOPS series,... but for each FTP spent you will be losing some of your rakeback, ie. to play the FTOPSMini#24 the cost was 2,700FTPs (which translates to $13.50 in lost rakeback... so buying in for the $12+1 would be better... unless of course you're not receiving rakeback on Fulltilt).

Personally what I would do is.... wait until you have 650FTP's, then enter the 650pt. SNG Super Satellite to the $750K. It's a typical 9-plyr. SNG with payout being 1st & 2nd get 2,500FTP's (which you can then unregister from the 2,500FTP satellite and keep the FTP's)... & 3rd gets 850FTP's. I've had the most success with using my FTP's in these games and they've helped me to accumulate a Fulltilt wardrobe, lol.. a couple of shirts and a couple of hats.

I'd also consider playing this same satellite SNG (above) a bunch of times and then actually play the 2,500FTP satellite MTT into the $750K (Top 100 finishers win the $216 ticket to play the Sunday $750K.. or was that $215??.. no matter).
THere have been occassions in the past where Fulltilt will hold some special FTP Tournaments (recently they held 3 of them on the same day, with buyins of 1,000 & 2,000 FTPS & guaranteed prizepools of $50,000 & $100,000).

I personally don't think any of the other FTP satellites are worth bothering with.... way too much of a longshot for my liking. You can't go wrong with a new poker book or Fulltilt hat,... or perhaps even better >> a purchase of a few months membership to CardRunners.

GL in whatever games you choose to play. Last time.... personally I think it's way better to just let them accumulate because the games with small FTP buyins are terrible.

I just noticed that today Fulltilt is advertising a 5,000 FTP buyin tournament coming up in October (Oct.18 14:15) that has a guaranteed prizepool of $250,000. Unfortunately I just blew my FTP's on MiniFtops Tourneys & satellites but by playing the one I recommended above (650FTP Sup.Satellite SNG) I should have the 5,000 in a short order and will then be playing that $250k guar. for sure!! I think it'll be worth it.

does buying into the ftp SNG's make you lose rakeback as well
or is it just buying things from the store or buying into actual money tourneys?

re: Full Tilt Points??? poker

there is only one reason i can think of is saving the points for when u go broke. A month or so back i went broke and used 200 points to enter the daily dollar and finished high and got my bankroll rolling again.

The Take Two program has given my account quite the boost on terms of FTP's when I multitable, especially if I do it during triple FTP happy hours. I've used 'em to get into satellites to get into the 750K- I think I played two of 'em and generated 5400 FTPs. I used those to play the 1 table SNG's for a $24 + $2 satellite tokens - I've gotten two of those so far. Haven't used 'em yet though.

I'm not at the point in my poker career where I wanna try and go for the gold and satellite into a $240+$16 (or higher) tournament- so I'm gonna try and get as many of these $24+$2 tokens. It reduces my risk, IMO

The best deal was when they were running the 5 point FTP tourneys a few weeks ago. That was great value and I cashed frequently in those.

I used my $26 toruney ticket to play in a $26 double stack MTT $34k GTD. There was 1850 players and i came in 62nd to cash in $77.50.
Not bad from 600FTP points.

I'm getting a free week of cardrunners this month from trulyfreepokertraining.com then what I'm planning on is spending 12,500FTPs for a 3 month booster to cardrunners. but there were a few good idea posted here as to how to use them. i like the save them till your broke one. also the 650FTP 9 player satellites I'll be sure to look into. i have been eying those plastic playing cards at the store. theres also a 50FTP 9 player satellite to the daily double to check out too.
