Full Tilt eliminates the old classic view of the lobby

Amongst a bunch of new features Full Tilt Poker has just eliminated the old classic view of the lobby. A new view option has also been added, similar in size to the classic but with the standard view layout.
How many of you were classic view aficionados and wouldn't have changed it for any reason?

I have to say, I had already migrated away from the Classic View. It was hard to do, but the shift was much easier when I needed access to Rush Poker. So hard to get rid of the old and bring in the new. That's why the good old days are the 'good old days'.

Personally,I dont like the change,its alot harder to find the CC games....

Yeah...noticed that this morning...not sure I'm a fan yet. I'm a classic view guy.

What were the other "new features"?

im not 2 bothered about the classic going becasue i dont use it, on the other hand the new badges are crap

I liked the classic view better. My only real problem with the new layouts is no matter what you got that picture of ferguson and take our tour, etc. As for badges i just disable them.

At first I thought "what the ****?!" and then adapted in about a minute. I'm sure we'll all get used to the change and then they'll change it again. Bottom line is I think the folks at FT have too much time on their hands .

I liked the classic view, it was easy to find games.

Now, it's harder to find games.

I don't like the new updates.

I just saw it this morning and I"m trying to familiarize the new layout. It will take a couple of days but I"m sure the changes will be for the better. Good luck guys and see you at the tables.

I don't mind the move away from the classic view and I do like the favorites listings.

I still use the standard view.

I don´t like the change in the badges.

Everyone have the T one so that is just pointless.

I don´t care for a badge in rush poker, the iron badge was better before, nop, i don´t like the change.

I do not like the new View at all it is to cluttered and i kept on hitting that new button that is on everyones Avatar saying you are a great player or what ever the hell it is. Its anoying i know that much and then the pics of ferguson and all the other pros in the lobby changing all the time is weierd. I wish i could go back to the simple lobby ive been playing with for 3 yrs.

Yeah just like what everyone else said all about CLASSIC..Im so sick of rush and all these new features..I just wanna be able to play nice and simple tournament poker w out all these stupid new features.

Wow - seems I'm in the minority here. I switched to the new view pretty much as soon as they started offering it and really like it. Set more detailed filters and saving them as favourites so I didn't need to see all the crap games I was never going to play really appealed to me.

Plus I only just discovered the widgets last week where you can get your daily Iron Man points total or whatever else displayed in the lobby so you don't need to keep going off to the web to review them.

Y'all will get used to it soon enough IMO

If they ever got rid of the classic bet slider though, then I'd be annoyed...

Not so. See post #16, and then #18 to see what I did. WVHillbilly explained how to do it. It's no work at all to rename the MIA file to MIA1, so Full Tilt software will never find it. It's a little more work to get a custom picture. You have to resize a pic, rename, and use the MIA file after creating an MIA1 file (containing the original MIA file contents) for backup. If you really wanna do that and have trouble, I'll be glad to do a step by step for ya. I was a classic view fan too.

When they first updated with the new view awhile back.. I stuck to the Classic View.. and I still like the classic view better. It's simple and easy to find everything.. in time, the new one will be easy to navigate through, too.... but I don't need anything to look fancy in it.. I just want to play poker on my custom poker table on Full Tilt.

i did favor the classic view but i'll adjust as always.

i for one like the badges as i noticed a lot of you don't. but you don't have to have them yourself - you can opt to remove them.

the badges are like any other type of award or recognation for an achievement. so i'm proud of mine and feel they give me a little more confidence, even though in the past i opted not show my ironman medal, but i guess it's a badge, hahaha.

I emailed feedback@fulltiltpoker.com. If enough of us do maybe they'll realize how much we liked it nad this new one is crap. This mini view is just a smaller piece of sh%t than the new view.

Well thanks dive and WVH for that, no longer need to see those stupid pictures and ads. I guess it wasn't really the pictures though its more the lobby size in general and with those removed theres still just a big blank space there. Im on a 15" laptop and the lobby takes up the whole screen, its pretty much the same whether maximized or normal.

With the exception of the badges, I don't notice anything different...? Had a software update and everything before I logged in today.

You can fix that by going to Options > Badges and changing the drop down box to "Display badges without links" or "Hide badges". Then either the badges won't link to the website when you click on them (accidentally or otherwise) or they won't be shown at all.

Doesn't really matter what the situation is as long as the site is still up and running then theres no real need for worry about things such as that.
I never used the classic view anyway.

Weird, I would've thought it was easier with the new view - can't you just filter until you're being shown MTT freerolls?
