Full Tilt connection issues???

Im having trouble connecting to FT and getting no response from support via email other than a confirmation of received e-mail. Its making me nervous considering Pitbull poker was apparently just shut down. If anyone else is having issues or no problems can you share? A heads up might put me at ease

Did you try restarting your computer. I find if there is an update for FT and you have not turned off you computer in a while or have Firefox open during update, it may not work. Shut em down for a minute. X

Full Tilt is down for the count. And I rebooted my entire computer. The software is not even popping up. My very first thought was a little frightening. It was 'What if they discovered they couldn't cover that $50 in every pot for that Take 2 promo?". Then I thought "Wow, what if they ran the promo knowing full well they would take the rake and run?" lol Boy, wouldn't that be front page news, and not just in the poker world. Just a little good paranoia 'the morning after'. But really, no maintenance announcement? Not panicking.... yet.

Still can't get the software to even pop up. I even tried launching it from Program Files. Is everyone else having better luck??? If I uninstall & reinstall, will I still have all my notes on folk?

Okay, I got it to work. Here's what happened. It was already open in 'application running' (when you hit control/alt/delete) but the client was otherwise invisible. I hit 'end process' and relaunched it. Thanks all.

Ian, the promo page says we get paid by tomorrow, so keep yer shirt on.

Yeah, I'm getting that too. At least the money I already had in there seems to be intact. They'll probably clean up their little mess soon.

Yes, your notes will still be there.

I have actually uninstalled & reinstalled several times since they've done their upgrades. I found it faster than waiting for the software updates. I don't take many notes (just stuff that says "fish" or "easy money" stuff like that), but they were all there afterwards.

Thanks, good to know. In Omaha, some notes gets kinda specific, like 'chases any low' or 'pot raises naked aces'. Unlike NLHE, it can be a small world at the O8 tables, even at mammoth FT.

Yesterday and today I am been having all kinds of issues staying connected. Played 4 HU matches today and on one of them the other player was also having the same problem.

PS I got my 50 from take 2. I think i will start a thread for everyone to check in when they get paid.

I am on FTP just fine.

Sounds like you might have a virus. Do you run any type of virus scan? If so, is it up to date?

I had a browser virus that took over my browser and didn't let me get to a lot of different sites. It also prevented my virus scan from updating. I had to get rid of the virus before I could update my virus scan. Catch 22!

I seem to *always* have problems staying connected to FT. The other day, I decided to install it on the wife's computer to see if her's would stay connected better (she's hard-wired, I run off a router). When she found out, she got pissed and I deleted it. Now her computer is seriously dragging. I've run every virus/spyware/etc scan I can find, and it's not coming up with anything. Either weird coincidence, or..?? (Of course the wife is REAL pissed now)

I have been having the connection prob's @ P.Stars & Ultimatebet - I get on, but get knocked off during hands. No prob at all on Players Only, so I find myself playing there more these days. Not sure if it's my hughesnet or what. All I know is I stayed connected better when I had slow dial up on those two. Putters clean. Back maybe 2 yrs ago i had to completely delete Party poker - kept getting trojan horse that antivirus traced to them. After re-installing twice, I thanked God that I hadn't won any freerolls yet, so had no money in there - so I deleted perm. Now I hear they don't take US players anymore? I have friends from home games that played there exclusively, I bet they are pissed.
