re: Full Tilt Avatars poker
Yes, there is a way you can create your own FTP avatar. But only you could see it. There's no way to "broadcast" it back through FTP so the other players can see it.
The avatars exist on your hard drive in the FTP software. Even the custom pro avatars are on your hard drive. In fact, everyone who downloads the software has the same avatars on their hard drives. So in order for everyone to see the avatar you create, they'd have to have it on all their hard drives also. So to sum up: Yes, you can create FTP avatars that only YOU can see. |

Makeing custom avatars is actualy kinda easy, but as was mentioned only you can see them...or your friends if you all have the same files.
My CC avatar is temporarily my FT avatar BTW. Heres how it looks with 4 pair in Omhama ![]() The pics for the avatars need to be .png files 114x164 pixels with transparent backgrounds. The proccess: Find or draw a picture you want to use for your avatar. Resize it to 114x164. Use the selection tool in your editing program to select only the figure, ie the outline of your avatar. Copy that and past it on a new 114x164 .png file with transparent background. Now Save it somewhere on your computer other than the avatar folders in FT. Go to your fulltilt files, find: graphics/tables/avatars/public and pick one of the avatars, they are named 1 - 72. Wich ever one you pick is how you will look to the rest of fulltilt. Copy or move the pics in that file to a safe place incase you want to put them back in later. Now inside one of the folders 1- 72 youll see four pics named 0-3, one for each emotion. You can make four emotions for your new avatar, just replace one, or make 4 differant avatars to use. Paste your custom avatar in there and name it 0,1,2,or 3. Now open your fulltilt software and log on. Try a playmoney table to see if your avatar looks good. If not, go back and do some editing. Note: you need to close and re-open fulltilt software everytime yu make a change to see the change...I dont know why. The fun part...if you have a group of friends that all have custom avatars, share them with each other...just make sure you all pick a differant stock avatar, or emotion in the same one for your custom to go. If this is confusing I can make a tutorial with pics if you think it wold help. Last edited by DogzBestFrnd : 25th August 2009 at 7:50 PM. Reason: Changed my CC avatar to show my FT avatar |

Tutorial of sorts
OK, this tutorial assumes you have a photo editing program similar to paint shop pro, and some basic knowledge of it.
1st you need to decide wich stock avatar you want to use as a base for your custom avatar. This is what you will look like to the rest of FullTilt. To find these files go to: program files/fulltilt/graphics/table/avatars/public Note, you will see the private and pro files also, but unless your a pro or have a private avatar already you cant select these when you play. So go to public. Find the view tab near the top left of your window and sort the public folder by large icons so you can kinda see wich one is wich without haveing to open them all. Once you find the one you want to use, copy the folder and paste it somewhere safe incase you want to go back to default later. With that done, now its time to make you avatar. So select your picture that you want to use and open it in your picture editor. Im useing one from the 1st Season of CC Sims for the fun of it. pic_1_tut.jpg Now you want to crop the image so you have basicly just the subject you want for your avatar in it. After you crop it, then resize it to 114x164 pixels. Now useing your freehand selection tool trace jus the part you will want in the avatar. ( I know mines sloppy, but Im on my 5th pot of coffee, got shakey hands) pic_2_tut.jpg Then right click and copy it. Now open a new picture, Leaving the other one open too. Your new picture should be 114x164 with a transparent background. Right click on it and select paste as New Selection. You want new selection so you can move it around a bit to get it centered nicely. pic_3_tut.jpg Save your new avatar as a .png file (portable network graphics) if it asks to merge it say ok. Name it anything you like, but try not to name it 0,1,2 or 3 for now. Save it somewhere safe also, maybe next to the originals you copied. Now to put it in your FullTilt files. Make sure your FullTilt software is closed. Go back to program files/fulltilt/graphics/table/avatars/public/# The # is the file you chose as your base remember. Mine is 9 in this tutorial. Pick one of the emoitions in side that file. 0,1,2,3 I like to use 3...the confused look because not alot of players use it, but its up to you. Delete the one you want to replace, then paste your new avatar in there. The rename it to the proper #. Mine is 3 pic_4_tut.jpg Now open your FullTilt software and go to a play money table and take a look at your avatar. If you like it cool! Needs changes? Just edit the one you saved in the safe place a bit. Close FT, copy/paste the edited version in and check again. pic_5_tut.jpg You have to close FullTilt when you make changes and re-open it after to see them. I dont know why. OK, now you have one. Make one for a friend and then share your files. Just either pick a differant stock avatar, or a differant emotion to use as the base. |

You can also just play on Carbon Poker where everyone can upload their own avatars. I'm not sure if someone already said this, but it's a nice feature.
