| FTPs vs. Tournament Tickets Tonight I won a 100ftp buyin super satelite to the 750k gaurunteed. I used to do this alot with ftp buyins but lately I have very rarely done any type of satelites because I really don't like the tourament ticket stuff that full tilt does now. I liked the old way better when you got full tilt points when you unregistered after winning a satelite. To me it just gave you more options with what to do with your winnings. I dont know why they ever changed to this system because to me its nowhere near as good as the old way. I asked them shortly after they implemented this new system and they said they did it do to "popular demand." I would like to know who that popular demand was and what the there reason for wanting it changed was. Then I asked if they could implement a system for selling tournament tickets for ftps and they told me maybe someday but not in the near future. I was just wondering if any of you felt that the change was good and why or if you agreed with me and why? |

| I was under the impression that if you won a seat to a satelite that you could unregister for T$. This is what i do when I win the 30c and 5c sats. Is this because my buiyn was cash to start off with and not FTPs? They have Rush Super Turbos for 5 FTP and top two get a seat in the BLT. Can we un register from that if we win? |

| re: FTPs vs. Tournament Tickets poker I think if you win a satellite and the main prize is entry into a tourney you can still unregister and collect T$'s. There are certain ones to win tickets I believe. Just last moth I played SNG satellites to the daily dollar and cashed out all my winnings in T$'s. Unless they just changed this. |

| Now, if your satellite buy-in was cash, you can un-reg for tourney dollars (essentially cash). If your buy in was for points, you either play the next stage of the satellite you win or un-reg for a ticket of equal value. Which s usually $1 so only of use in the daily dollar anyway. I agree with the way they work it now to be honest. You want to win cash instead of tickets? Play some cash SnG's instead of point SnG's. There were far too many players multi tabling the super soft daily dollar games (just as an example) and unregistering for the points. Heck, I was guilty of it at times. There was even a thread created about using points as a reserve bankroll! I do think that Points should only be awarded for paying rake, not as an alternative payment method. Now satellites are (mostly) used for what they were intended; a stepping stone to a tourney you can't usually afford to play (ok, disregard the daily dollar and Big Little!). |

But now I think you get a tournament ticket from satellites with a FTP buy-in. |

Pretty useless as only the Big Little MTT has that exact buy-in! Maybe its a poor system, but I personally agree with the change. Points are a privilege, not an extra bankroll to grind all the way to a new TV! lol |

I won a satellite SNG and couldn't play in the tournament so I unregistered and received $T. I was then able to enter multiple $2 + .25 SNGs with the $T. Once I was down to less than a full buy-in I was able to use the last of my $T and cash for the remainder. |

Oh dear. Read the post above it dude. (i'll write it bigger for you) If you buy into a satellite for cash then unregister, you get tourney dollars (which is essentially cash). If you buy in for points and unregister, you get a tournament ticket for the value of the tournament you are playing towards, not a points equivalent. You see, you used to be able to unregister from the daily dollar for 200 points, meaning people could run up huge amounts of points without actually playing for any cash. Full Tilt have stopped this by only paying out in tickets or tourney dollars. So if you buy into the 50 point daily dollar game, instead of unregistering for 200 points, you now get a $1 ticket to use whenever you like, buy ONLY in a $1 game, not as partial funds (as you can with tourney dollars). Kmixer asked what if you enter the 5 point Little Big satellite and unregister. The answer (as I said) is that you get a $2 tourney ticket. Not tourney dollars. Phew.... |

Sorry bud, but it was written clearly enough in the first place. The whole point of the topic was why points satellites no longer pay out in points, but give tickets instead. Maybe you didn't read from the beginning... |
