| This is a discussion on Is FTPs change in their RB system better? within the online poker forums, in the Poker Rooms section; I know a few months back they changed the way they do RB, is it better? Do you get RB easier?... |

| They didn't change their rakeback system specifically, they changed their rake system. They went from a dealt rake to contributed rake, which means before, you were getting rake to your credit whether you were playing the hand or not, if you were at a 6max table, you were getting 1/6th of the rake in your credit, if you were at a FR table, you were getting 1/9th to your credit. This was really good for rakeback for the better players because they could play their TAG style and still get a good amount of rakeback. When they switched to contributed, now you are only getting credited for the percentage that you are contributing to the pot, so the fish are still getting a lot of rakeback, but the good players are not getting as much because they obviously don't play as many hands as fish(in most cases). So I guess what you're asking, if you are a decent player, then no, you do not get rakeback any easier, you're actually getting quite a bit less. If you are a bad player who is playing in too many hands, then yes, you are getting more rakeback. |

The old system meant that you could sit back and play TAG, and still get 27% rb on 1/6 or 1/9 of the rake from every hand. The new way means that you only get it from the hands to which you contribute, so if you fold every hand, you won't get any rakeback. |
