FT Iron Man medals

Okay, I decided to do the 1 pt/day on Full Tilt in December. According to the site you can either play in a $2000 freeroll or take 15 medals. From looking at what things cost, it would take 9 months at 15 medals to get a $26 token. I would like to think I could win more than $26 in 9 freerolls.

What's your opinion on which way to go? I have no idea how many people are in the freeroll, that might make a difference if it's like 5000 people.

It was interesting, there were some days where it took me 90 hands to get that $1 in rake, at the $.10/$.25 NL tables. Today was a day I thought was going to take me 90 hands too but then one of those great online setup hands occurred, I had AK spades, to a raiser with Q10 spades and 3 spades came on the flop. Ended up with $18 pot and gave me the requisite rake to get to the $1 for today.

I suppose if I played 4 tables at a time it wouldn't be all that hard to get to the 100 pts/day level but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe next month.

I take the bonus medals but they are in addition to the medals I get for my Iron man level each month. I have no idea how many people are in these FRs but I'd guess they are pretty soft and you should be able to do better with 9 shots in them than waiting for a $26 token.

Getting the minimum Iron man level is very easy even at the lowest stakes with very minimal play. 4 tabling 25nl you could easily get the 50 points in under an hour.

not sure what you are saying 1$ in rake / 90 hands, but i have done this for the last 4/5 months and took the metals. for me to qualify i played 1 stt 1$ buyin and that gave me 1.75 points. as for the freeroll here is the tourny id 71781857. the pay out is decent i think it pays about 30% of the field.
