Freerolls that don't play like freerolls?

I'm looking for a place to play freerolls - MTT's, SNG's, play cash games, and such. The only thing is that I want to play in games that are respected for decent play.

My most recent experiance was just stupid. It was a 90 person game. 22 busted out on the first hand and then 1 person had half the chips in the hole tournament about 20 mins into it. This person went all-in every single hand.

If there is a place to play freerolls with people that are trying to get better without risking cash I would love to play even if there was no cash prizes involved.

Freerolls to me will always be that away because the prize is too low or there are too many people and so people don't want to sit around all day and make a dollar or so. That is one reason I started joining private freerolls. People want to win more and there is a smaller field of people to compete against.

Gosh, i think the quality of play at the CardsChat freerolls is not to bad. The money tourneys are even better with great added value.

Try NOPAYPOKER.COM, an allright site if you dont have cash and still want to compete in reasonably serious games.

Serious Freerolls?

Didn't know there was such a thing!? Never heard of NOPAYPOKER.COM, but am willing to check it out if that's true! I, too, would like to find a site where they don't go "ALL-IN" with nothing all the time just because it's a "FREE-ROLL". Can't count the number of times I've lost with the best hand because of BLIND LUCK on the river, especially! Anyway, I've learned to just fold the first hand or 2, even if I had a relativly decent hand, knowing some IDIOT was going to raise "ALL-IN" with nothing! GL!

I want a free new Cadillac, and a new house, and a maid, and a new bed, and a huge bank account.

Please accept that as sarcastically funny, cause it was meant that way.

The best advice I can offer are high stake PLAY MONEY tourneys. 10K at FT play pretty good.

Freerolls anymore imply a cash prize. Perhaps in the beginning they didn't imply that, but it is implicit now. Since everyone loves the idea of free money, but not everyone values the time it will take to get that free money, you are just going to have to swallow real hard and put up with it.

Not all of that supposedly bad play is by bad players. Some good players figure they can come in hot and fast and heavy and if it works out early, they will then consider cooling themselves down and playing something closer to real poker. They will have big stacks by that time. Good players in that scenario will be playing the same cards total noobs play. Suited anything, and any connectors, along with any pair, and the noobs favorite, 27o! There is nothing you will ever be able to do about this.

All that said, you should learn how to deal with it. Even in high stake money games there will be a certain percentage (smaller we all hope) of players who want to get going fast or go home fast! You must understand that there are folks out there playing online poker who have TOO MUCH MONEY! It ain't you, it ain't me, it probably ain't anyone reading this, but those folks do exist. Many of them have poker skills cause they have had so much disposable money for so long, and idle time to play poker, that even they can match a frog learning poker by osmosis.
