FPP on Pokerstars - Help with a question...

Hi all.

I`ve been reading through past post about how FPP`s are paid out on Pokerstars and I`m getting mixed messages.

Is it simply this, if you are delt cards you get FPP`s at the end of the hand if you fold or not?

E.G. I`ve paid my blinds. 3 hands later I`m delt 72o so I muck. at the end of that hand do I still get the FPP`s for that hand?

You just need to be dealt in to receive VPP/FPP.

That's correct. Everyone earns VPPs at the same rate, and the rate that you earn FPPs is based on your VIP level.

seems like a weird system though... players who are playing biggest pots & actually paying the rake on the table, don't benefit by earning more VPPs?
Is this how it used to be? (I'm newer to PokerStars)

Yeah it's always been like that PO!

I'm sure it has, everyone is given exactly the same.

I'm intrigued as to why you think it's a weird system? I think it's great, letting all the donkeys spew their money off with each other whilst we're not only gaining in VPP/FPP but also when we get into a hand with them, we can take their monies.

Whatever the rate may be, you get that along with all the other players at the table.

Yeah that's right, if the pot built to whatever it be (maximum is $3.00 in rake I think) then it's distributed evenly among all players at the table who received cards pre-flop.

For me personally I think it's better because I'm quite a tight player most of the time but you often find donkeys calling all sorts any pairs/draws etc all-in's and spew of their money so, I think this is nice for someone like me and even other players.

It's a better system than just for when you enter a hand yourself...not sure how it can't be.

Yeah thats a f***ing awesome system Sweet. No wonder my VPP's shoot up every time I play PLO the pots are like $20 a time lol. I thought you had to see a flop to get the VPP's though. Cheers for the clarification.

I think buying tourney tickets is the best value, but I just save mine up for the cash rewards! The bigger the cash reward the better value it is.
